Because whether you love him or hate him, believe he did steroids or don't believe he did, he still HAS YET TO BE PROVEN GUILTY. And last I checked, EVERYONE in America is afforded that right.

For someone who claims to go to court a lot you seem to have a hard time with legal theories. You are innocent until proven guilty but that doesn't mean you won't be arrested and put in jail pending bail/court. It also doesn't mean everyone has to run around and act like they didn't see you break the law. It simply means that there is a presumption of innocence and the government must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you committed the crime during your trial. The defense does not have to prove anything. If the prosecutor fails to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are guilty then the defense wins. Sanctions (incarceration, fines, mandatory therapy, etc.) can only be placed on you after you're convicted in a court of law. Until then you're in the clear.

Guilty of what? If people say that he has the worst personality of any celebrity in history, they aren't wrong. If people say OJ Simpson killed his wife and Ron Goldman, they aren't wrong either, and he was found innocent. Just like OJ beating murder 1 charges, Bonds slid by the PEDs issue with the help of Selig and the rest of baseball, but also just like OJ he was too stupid not to be found guilty of something else and so there will be a trial. He's not guilty yet. But I don't care either way, because he is the least likable person ever to have his photo taken. He's guilty of being that much of an ***.

Whoa! Did I miss a news flash? Is Barry Bonds in jail?
If not, then I would say that even Barry Bonds is innocent until proven guilty.
If you are talking about people voicing their opinions on his guilt or innocence, then a) their opinion really doesn't matter unless they are part of his jury and b) people have just as much right to voice their opinion as Bonds does to a trial.

it's a myth. it doesn't only happen only to Barry bond.
let's go away from sports and go to cases where someone is accused of rape or of a killing or money laundering. when he is caught it's first page news. if it turns out that person is innocent or charges get dropped b/4 going into court in the end it's on page 7-8.

in some cases like bond his body is the only evidence you need. look at pirates cards and giants cards.

do you also think seriously that in SF the jurors won't be biased they love him there and that can be blind whatever evidence the feds will bring to the table.

He is innocent of perjury until proven guilty, but come on. He already admitted to using BALCO provided steroids, the only question is whether he knew what he was taking. Search ESPN's news archives if you don't believe me.

The first poster is right, very few people get an impartial trial simply because news mixes with rumors and arrives before juries are chosen.

He is still innocent in the eyes of the law. He has only been indicted, not convicted.

People are still intitled to their opinions, because free speech is still protected in this country, last I checked.

The answer to your question is because people don't want him to be HR King. I don't believe they have anything against him but they would rather see someone of their own team being Mr. HR.

Many people every day do not get that right. I am a white guy who was not given that right. The Duke LaCross team were not given that right (white as well). It happens over and over again because of the media, and while race is a factor sometimes, it's not as much of a factor as people think. It's one thing to say it, but a totally different thing to actually do it.

LOL to the ppl who give me thumbs down for being right. Funny how the haters give me thumbs down, but my answers keep getting picked as being correct? 33% and rising? I am actually speaking from personal experience here and the rest of you are talking about something you've only SEEN on TV.

Yea... thumbs down huh? lmao get a clue newbs. I know how A-Rod feels now. Being the best is easy, but having peeps simply admit your ability instead of hating you is impossible. Too many ppl are shallow and immature. Way to show up for adulthood guys...
