Because you should. I know Red Sox fans already know of him. But what about everyone else.

I'm just counting how many rings Joba will bring to the Bronx. I don't think i have enough fingers.

I'm sorry The Yankee farm system doesn't teach it's young arms to pitch while a thousand bugs swarm your neck and face. So I guess we can forgive the 22 year old for messing up in the first postseason appearance of young career. Give me a break man, you can't find anything better to besmirch this young phenom. Keep looking.

I believe the Yanks are going to make him a Starter. This kid could be the ACE in his 1st year in the Rotation.
Watch out SOX!

Joba Is Amazing. Everyone Should Fear Him. And Of Course Red Sox Fans Know Of Him. There Still Trying To Figure Out How He Blasted That Fast Ball Down The Plate For A Strike Out! Great Question! Good Luck!

He pitched well in limited action this season, but I wouldn't get too excited about anyone with a whole 24 innings pitched at the major league level. He could turn out to be an ace, but it's way too early to make that call.
He's a tough one to figure out because he pitched much better once turning pro than he did at the college level. He was good at Nebraska, but he just lit it up once he went pro. If he can continue at anything close the pace he set last season, then the Yankees have a great young pitcher on their hands.

Joba has been impressive when facing 3-6 batters, but I am interested in seeing how batters react when he becomes a starter and hitters will see him 2-3 times a game. He'll be a good, maybe even great, starting pitcher, but he wont be as dominant as he's been as a reliever.

What I fear is watching Joba Chamberlain with canadian soldier ants swarming around his head.
As a batter, I would love the challenge of trying to get a hit of him.

The Red Sox fans should fear the Joba man. He can end up being a better pitcher than any Red Sox pitcher they have. Papelbon doesn't have sh*t on the Joba man. In a year or two, you will believe me that the Joba man will be a better pitcher than Papelbon, as well as one of the best in the league. Believe me, in a year of two, the Joba man will be one of the best pitchers in the league. "The Reverend" must like getting off on insulting people. I said that Joba CAN be one of the best in the league. He has a lot of potential.

To the clown who thinks "The Joba Man" has nothing on Papelbon, give us a break! When "Joba Man" wins a ring, then we can talk. I mean the guy is crawling with insect life.

Please. I fear Hughes more. When the guy finally came into a meaningful game he choked. You stupid Yankee fans complain how A-Rod blows in the postseason. Joba was terrible when the game mattered.
1 blown save and 4.91 playoff ERA.
...By the way I am not a Sox fan, but this guy is highly over-rated. Once hitters saw him more, like with any pitcher, the better they will do.
