Why is he playing baseball? He's never going to sniff the World Series or a ring! Unless he's a bench player when he's 43 years old and can barely hit. A-Rod is all about personal glory. He's never going to win a ring especially now that he's signed a 10 year control with the Yanks. Which is good news for every other team because now they have a chance of a World Series.

I found it funny how the Yankees said they would not offer him a contract and look what happens. I must be honest, I despise the Yanks but I love all of their history. I do believe that the Yankees have a chance at winning it all in the next 10 years, although other things could happen. If they did win, you can pretty much say that they "bought" it.

money...money...money
dedication in sports is passe
players move around to either popular teams (win or lose) or to teams they feel have a good chance to go to the championships...
but first comes money and the players popularity...and i'm sure a lot of players would prefer the ring over a trophy...

I thought I heard hi say, "I want, cash, MVP awards, and a ring if I ever learn to hit in the Post Season" Maybe that's what I heard, anyhow.
