That will be a decision the commissioner will have to make after all of the facts are in. The commissioner has it within his power to take whatever action he deems appropriate.

Sadly I think it should stand. I think it should because even with steriods the bat speed still has to be there to hit the ball over the outfield walls. He probably won't be holder of the record for much longer since A-Rod is the youngest to 500 HR's plus he is good for several more 50+ HR seasons. I think people should just let it go and just remember that Hank Aaron is the true homerun leader as of now.

I'm for Bonds breaking the record. No solid proof that he took Steroids. Only growth enhancing hormones. Most of the people here are not educated enough to tell the difference and don't know that there are other substances out there. Steroids will not help you hit as many HR's, score as many TD's or make an outrageous amount of baskets. Just recover from injury quicker.

yes it should stand. why? because 1 it still takes talent to hit a ball. for instants bonds maybe a couple of good pitches a game that he could hit. pitchers never pitched to him and that my friend is talent 2. everybody else is using therefore every bodies stats that use should be thrown in the trash. 3. if steroids where around when Ruth Mantle Aaron played I'm sure they would have used them too.

Let it stand -- it's a meaningless record in terms of human endeavor anyway; not like, say going to the moon.

Just put the asterisk ball in the Hall of Fame like the fans voted. THAT is a fitting tribute to the dolt.

No, I don't think his record should be the record to beat. Hank Aaron's record should be the record to beat.

No, I don't believe that they should stand, but I think they need to impose the same standards on everyone else, not just him. All or none

i dont think it should....this record should be based on pure skill and not using steroids to help him with it. thats cheating...and everyone knows it.
