memory of Joe Nuxhall is?

Some of you may not know Joe, but I am guessing there are plenty who do. Especially displaced Cincy fans around the country.

I think mine is the famous " This is the Ole' Lefthander, rounding third and heading toward home." Nothing could be more true on this sad November day.

Also, if you haven't voted for Joe for the HOF, make sure you do.

well my longtime love affair with nascar will certainly wane. but i digress. what i really wanna know is will the J&J love affair end or will it continue to blossom into the future? the headline in Yahoo Sports news reads 'Title Contenders Maintain Friendship'. Sounds like some Days of Our Lives drama between two people remaining lovers through all the turmoil. Such a heart warming article. Sickening! I guess its someones job to create drama and love stories though. thank god its almost over. Its been like watching an episode of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood when we should be watching someone getting tire marks put on their car. Dont get me wrong, Mr. Rogers rocked back in the day but im not tuned in to watch hand puppets and Mr. McFeely (strange name for a Postal dude on a kids show huh??). Anyway i guess i will be glad when the J&J love affair is over. This doesnt mean my love affair with Gloria is over though does it baby? I cant live without your big red nose!

If he wanted to stay in New York he never would have opted out. Now it looks like he’ll be a Yankee long term. Do Yankee fans feel resentment? Are you surprised the Yankees are negotiating with ARod when they said if he walks we don’t want him?

First A-Rod and Borras take away a bit of the luster from the Red Sox championship win by announcing his "opt-out" during the final innings of the World Series.

Yesterday, a day that should have been dominated the baseball headlines what with A-Rod returning to the Bronx was completely overshadowed by Bonds' indictment.

Irony? Did MLB have a hand in this?

My thoughts to come...

Barry has been through divorces, steroid suspicion, overwhelming criticism from the media, and shunning by the Commissioner's office. Why wouldn't he be able to focus on baseball during an indictment? Steve Phillips' claims drive me crazy.

Pats Bills score anybody?

2007-11-16 01:21:43 · 11 answers · asked by The Emperor 2 in Football (American)

Isn't he having a better season than the other two?

He's leading a more limited team to a 8-1 record. The Pats and the Colts have top 5 defenses, Green Bay's D is the #11. Indy and NE have better receiver too.

Neither Manning nor Brady lead the league in yards. Favre does.

Brady is on pace to break a single season record. Favre is breaking the most important all time records, and he probably has more consecutive starts than the other two guys combined.

Favre has three 4th quarter comebacks and an overtime victory. Brady only has one comeback and Manning blew two comeback chances.

Finally, Favre is 38, while Brady and Manning are physically in their primes.

The Avs play Dallas tonight, their coach Dave Tippett is apparently about to be fired if he can't turn around the Stars' slide. Among the candidates mentioned for his replacement is Avs' assistant coach, Tony Granato. What will happen with Tony G's contract? He probably can't just say "see ya later" to the Avs...Will the Stars have to buy out his contract, and pay the Avs some money?
