I'm of mixed minds. The autopsy found severe brain trauma in Chris, the result (presumably) of years and years of concussions and damage from chair shots, flying headbutts, and those insane reverse suplexes he used to do, where he'd take the entire impact on the back of his head.

That, coupled with whatever drugs he may (or may not) have been on could have been part of the issue with his "terminal insanity" as it were.

The man killed his family. That is inexcusable, no matter how much we loved Benoit the wrassler, the fact that he took out two innocent lives, then his own, with premeditation means that the guy who did that was no longer the Canadian Crippler, but some monster living inside that massive frame.

You cannot honor someone like that in a HoF induction. The stigma of what happened to them is too high. Lugar will never get inducted for the same reason.. Elizabeth died in his care, and that stigma will paint him.

Wrestling is a nasty business. People die as a direct result of what they put themselves through. There is rampant addiction to pain killers, and steroids play a fairly large part in it, if not at the A game of the WWE, in the previous years building up to it.

As long as the only person you kill is yourself (Guererro, etc) you can probably get an HoF nod, if you were one of the greats. Once you kill someone else.. it won't happen.

Also, keep in mind.. the HoF is pretty much a joke. It's by the WWE, for the WWE, and about the WWE. It doesn't much matter if people get inducted. What's important is do they entertain _you_ while they are in the ring, that is important.

It's going to be a long time untill the WWE can decide if Chris Benoit will be inducted as a Hall of Famer. Right now, the legacy of Chris Benoit is somehow tainted & if he is inducted in a short time, some reprocussions will result into a fallout & that's what the WWE doesn't need at this time.

I agree , Chris Beniot gave his whole life to wrestling and he should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame . He worked hard at his craft just like the rest of those whom have already made into the hall of fame . And because he and his family sadly fell victim to the steroid abuse....should not take away all his years in the business ! . And the WWE should not turn their back on him either !!.

I doubt that he will ever be inducted in the hall of fame. I mean he killed his wife, and his 7 year old son. WWE didn't even put him in the new game not even as a legend. I love him but he doesn't deserve any good thing to be said about him.

As a wrestler, he should b in the Hall of Fame. His dedication 2 the sport almost can't b beat.
But WWE dropped him like a hot potato, when due 2 his mental problems, he killed his family & himself. They erased him like he never existed.

i don't, i never did i always thought he was overrated
he could be in a few years wen it all dies dwn a bit with steroids cos jbl always sed he was on of the top 10 wrestlers of all time and a definite hall of famer
put it like this if shawn michaels/undertaker killed his family tomorrow would they be put in because as it stands the are definite hall of famers

edit: i also noticed in kennedys match on sd jbl sed he had defeated 5 former world champions wheras when benoit was still alive he had beaten 6 world champions they don't want to have him mentined again so i don't think he will be

I dont think he should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as he killed his wife and kid and then himself, he is nothing but a murderer and cowered.

I have always liked Benoit, but after what happened with him killing his wife and son I don't see an induction happening anytime soon. I know it's a let down, because he deserved it, but the WWE probably think he isn't worthy of it anymore.

Nope can't see it tbh.As much as Benoit was talented in-ring what happened will always overshadow his feats & accomplishments in the ring. He'll always be remembered for what he did to his family.
No way would Vince ever put Benoit in the HOF~ it would be like WWE were turning a blind eye to the tragedy by honouring Benoit.
