First, don't mind the avatar, its my end of a deal regarding the outcome of a hockey game.
I've been an Eagles fan since 1968 and even assisted them during their training camps at Widener College in 70-71-72.
I'm not a superstitious guy but I'm beginning to wonder about the one where any buildings taller than William Penn's hat would result in no more championships for our teams.
I think arrogance from the owner on down is to blame for this teams inability to win the Big Game. I know everyone is down on D-Mac and I know he isn't doing well but it isn't all his fault.
I am fed up with their belief in the system, they remind me of the Nittany Lions. How many offensive stars have done well out of THAT program once they got to the NFL?
The same is true for the Eagles. I am fed up with how they let a Garcia or Stallworth walk. They have always needed receivers and a running back and thank the stars for Westbrook. And he's another player they are burning bridges with. If we all try to forget the bizarre behavior of Owens for a minute, maybe swinging a little bit of money his way could have averted his poisonous attutude.
They are birds allright, and they go "Cheap, cheap, cheap."
I said here before that this off-season is going to do a lot to sell me on whether I should start to hammer Lurie/Banner/Reid for being narrow-minded numbskulls, or not.

We mentioned Bruce Willis earlier; what's great about Channing's story is if in Die Hard 5 you saw John McClane take a missile to the abdomen and walk away good as new, you'd be screaming bullshit so loud they'd have to drag you out of the theater.
Come on, you knew we couldn't leave this one out.
Number one on the list of things you don't want blasting a hole through your skull and brain is a giant cannon ball. However, a very close second on this list is a large metal spike. Just ask Phineas Gage.

I am from the Philly area yet not a Eagles fan, just a Phillies.
Honestly your birds will never win a championship. The management does not at all care about you, the fans. They are not devoted to winning and are happy with getting to the playoffs so they can say "we are serious contenders", and then using excuses to not sign big players.
Anyone from the area, like yourself knows what I mean. The Eagles are a terrible front office organization who now have an aging QB, with an average at best Rookie QB waiting. They have terrible WR's and the only good player is a RB that doesnt carry the ball but 15 times.
Sorry man, its a long road ahead.

There's a SB every year, it's just that the Eagles won't be there unless they buy a ticket
On a serious note, you need to fire Reed and start rebuilding. It may take a few years but that's what the Pack did and it's starting to pay off. As you see, they picked up a few FA but built it from the draft.

It will be hard to tell, they have never given McNabb any decent receivers expect TO and that blew up and now they are probably going to trade McNabb to Minnesota after the year. So a major rebuilding will begin, I think Reid is distracted and screwing up and Kolb is not the answer so many many years I think.

Being a fellow Eagles fan I'm looking for one every season lol. But who can really say. I mean look at the lions this year. Whodathunkit? You just never know. Hell who's to say they wont make history and go this year. Yes its a very slim chance but you gotta have faith in your team.

listen bro you are in the same boat as us CLEVELAND BROWNS fans. we arent great but its about time our team started winning. as for the eagles they are completely falling apart. Mcnabb is playing like a bum and he has no offensive wepons except for Westbrook (outstanding player if you ask me). i think the eagles should try starting that rookie they drafted. even though it was just preseason when he played he looked a lot better than mcnabb. there is no telling when you all will win one a superbowl. the whole organization is in turmoil. and lets not start with Andy Reid and his lunatic sons. I feel for you Eagle fan. We share the same pain when it comes to our football teams.

I think when the Eagles get a coaching staff that doesn't have their heads up their butts and a reliable QB they might have a good shot. They have a lot of other talent on that team.

for a quarterback after donovan mcnabb. they are looking at some major rebuilding in the next five years. and it looks like the cowboys and giants are set for some years of dominance with romo and manning (yes, he can lead them to the playoffs). i would say at least 5 years, probably more like 10.
