When will INDIA be able to host Olympic games?

We have population more than 1/6th of the world. Still never any Olympic games have been held in India. One wonders when would it be possible to see games being held in our country?

yes India will be able to host Olympic games another 25 yrs provided many sports people are encouraged. The problem is that the sports persons are not getting sponsorships. and in India we are not encouraging many sports other than cricket.

they decided to make a bid for the 2016 Olympics Games but later backed out because they failed in an attempt to host the 2014 Asian Games which eventually went to Incheon, South Korea. they now set their sight on making another bid for the 2020 Olympics, but it will all depend on how successful they will host the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

I know the countries bid have to apply to the IOC and propose how they will build the areana and the Olympic Village. There are several steps in being chosen.

Because we dont have the necessary infratructure in place, can u imagine millions more people in India! their transport system is already as stretched as it is adn plus indians do not have people skills.... would be a complete disaster if olyympics were held there!
