NO. Hank Aaron (the REAL record holder) is black too. if Barry Bonds* was a white man, Hispanic man, Asian man, or Native American man, any race he would STILL BE A CHEATING STEROID USER

No, I don't think so. I have heard people say that, well, Giambi got away with it, They're just going after Bonds because he's black. But that isn't true, Giambi told the grand jury the truth, and Bonds was indicted primarily for lying. Many forget that Gary Sheffield, a black man, also testified in front of the same Grand Jury, and he told the truth, too. He's gotten no grief from it, even less than Giambi, actually. The other reason Bonds is being targeted, unlike Palmiero, Giambi, et al, is that he holds the biggest record in baseball, and because he is apparently an unpleasant individual. Everyone wants to see a jerk go down.

it is not a racist attack but of course Bonds lawyer has already thrown the race card into the mix. The race card appears to be the way to go when all else fails in this country. It is sad because if this were McGuire I doubt Mac would be saying, "they are after me because I am white." Keep in mind that this is going on at the same time that CC Sabathia won the Cy Young Award, the first black pitcher to do so since Vida Blue. I doubt Bonds or his lawyer will highlight that tidbit for the media.

I personally don't think it is racist. I could care less about what ethnicity or race Bonds is. Jason Giambi, Raphael Palmeiro, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGuirre all made headlines as well. Maybe not as much as Bonds... but that is because they did not break one of the most hallowed records in all of sports! Not to mention that Bonds is closely associated with BALCO!
Game of Shadows a book about Barry Bonds and BALCO which is supported by documentation, interviews, and pretty damning evidence of Bond's guilt. If he did nothing wrong... why has he been indicted? The funny thing is I used to really like Bonds... he was one of my favorite players. But I'm open minded enough to see when someone does something wrong to change my opinion.
I think it's lame to throw in a race card when it has nothing to do with the issue. That's an insult to the people that lead the way for the civil rights movement and really struggled to gain freedom and equal rights for all and to the people that experience true racism.

First of all there is nothing "good" about those reverends. This is not a racial issue, this is an integrity issue. Whether Al and Jesse jump into the picture is of no consequence. It's all about right and wrong, not about black and white.

it type of feels to me that the mandatory black human being is a few distance extra racist than the mandatory white human being... Bonds is punctiliously racist. bear in suggestions what Gary Sheffield reported about latino gamers about a month in the past? study a piece of writing by ability of Stephen A. Smith or Scoop Jackson and also you'd be studying extremely, horribly overt racism. it really is completely type of fantastic in basic terms how a lot race concerns to three of those adult men.

It Is Somewhat Racist I Dont Think There Would Be All This Hulabaloo If He Was White, Given All The White Athletes That Used Steroids In The Past. IE Pro Footbal During ALL The 70s And Half The 80s.

I do not think it's racist. If he broke the law, then he should be punished. I think the reason that a lot of fans and media have jumped on him in the past few years is not because he is black, but because to most he seems a thoroughly unlikable person.

Who knows. Americans do not like cheaters: white or black. Look at that cyclist, Floyd Landis. As soon as the media hinted that he may have used steriods, people were quick to call him a cheater and for his title to be revoked. There may be some racist people happy to see this happen, but even a color blind person can see that this justified.

Just another opportunity for Al and Jesse to see themselves on the TV monitors. They can get a group of idiots together and have another march.
Barry Bonds finally got what he deserved.

No. He's indicted for lying in front of a grand jury, not taking steroids. Bottom line is nobody who took steroids will ever be jailed, only the traffickers are. Thats why Giambi, Schilling, Clemens, Caminiti, McGwire, etc. are not indicted. They took steroids but they never lied about it.
