I have just read an article in my news-paper that ICL is going to spend a lot of $$$money$$$ on the cricket stadiums which have been alloted to them so far.

Isn't it great for the infrastructure of cricket in our country?

This feud will do a lot of good things for Indian cricket

I haven't played football as yet but i am getting ready to start competitively.I have never played a real game, just backyard football with my friends. I am 15 and i am 6-4 198 pounds. i can throw a football so QB is a option, im not fast enough to play WR, do you think i am big enough to play OL, i was personally thinking TE. I have good hands and when play with friends i am the goto guy when needing short yards.

Give Me your opinion of what position you think i should play?

Hey people. Forget about all bad things & just laugh it off. It's 'FESTIVAL TIME' in India & i don't want to spoil my lovely mood.
Cricket section should be fun & we should just make 'FUN' of each other but not 'INSULT'.

Cricket question - Who is the funniest cricketer at present ?

a) Andre Nel
b) Sreesanth
c)Freddie Flintof
d)Chris Gayle (though he's serious most of the times but he can be damn funny)
e) Craig McMillan

Ok, now just laugh it off & forget about the past. The poll results were quite positive.

Cheers!!!!

As an argentine, I'm very proud of our team and what we've achieved, despite the fact we don't play any international competition and some of our players are still amateurs. But I recognize that South Africa was better than us, more professional. If only we could play an international competition, we could improve so much and have a shot at winning a world cup. With the little we have, we did as much as we could. But watching South Africa and England, I realized professionalism is crucial at this stage and that's why both teams totally deserve to be in the final.

I hope the final game will be as close as possible. However, I think it's going to be hard for England, despite the fact that they have the best player in the world (jonny wilkinson). I see the springbocks winning it by a very narrow margin, 3 points difference at most.

OK, why do they have to disply that on espn but it's ok to have every other show on normal tv to have graphic violents without warnings! Shows how much impact antis have on hunting.

It's kinda sad. I mean look at it this way... how he ends his ODI career? Not at all in an impressive way -- blames all over-- comes under fire from PCB and the media!

then he tries to get 20 runs to become the highest test scorer ever in pakistan cricket and give pakistan a great victory in the second test but fails miserably... to top it all there are all kinds of news about a 'deal' between pcb and inzi to make him wind up his career in lieu of 10 million Rs.!

i really feel he had the potential to play for another year or two.. i mean look at brian lara... he's still playing!

what do you say?

I like a system where its run professionally.
1) Only the performance counts not any politics.
2) The players should be paid a BASIC salary of Rs.6-10 lakh annually, that turns out to Rs50,000 to Rs80,000 per month (thats what software professionals earn after 5 years of experience!).
Any earnings above their basic salary is dependent on their performance.
3) A contract where players sign for 1 (or 2) year.Upon his good performance, contract extends on yearly/biennial basis. Injured players should be allowed to complete their term. All players be allowed to play x number of games for the national team with the penalty that a bad performance puts you back into the regional league. Provision, if the player plays well on the regional level, he gets another x number of games on the national team to prove himself. Otherwise he completes the term with the BASIC salary and he's gone!

In the Nagpur match against Australia, Uttahpa displayed nerves of steel by smashing around 44 runs in just 28 deliveries. If every Indian batsman plays like this, India would easily defeat Australia even if it is to chase 400. Don't you feel he was sent too late to bat? Shouldn't he be sent to open instead of Ganguly, because Ganguly's strike rate is slow even if Ganguly's score is big? That way in the final overs, the required run rate wouldn't balloon.

It all begins with a baseball, fully paid for and taxed, that's hit by Barry Bonds for his record breaking home run. The guy who happens to catch it is taxed for a mysterious "estimated" pricetag on the ball before he even thinks about what to do with it. This poor guy wants to keep the ball, but has to sell it because he cant pay the tax on a "750,000 ball." When the tax on a ball has been paid once already, i find it strange they can tax you again because the ball is special in some way it wasn't when they taxed you the first time. I can understand if you find a diamond in government soil that you must pay tax on it, but this situation seems far too...over the top. I'm angered over this unreasonable taxation, even though i am not the victim.
