Because there is no accountability and some of the players take their place in the team for granted. The situation can be changed by building up a good bench strength and making the payment to players based on performance and not by seniority or experience.

I think Indians would play a lot better with a pink slip hanging in their closets.
^^ a particular poster has said sreesanth be better bowling for the opposite team. LOL!
Lets add Ajith Agarkar too. He's the ever present, rodent in the team. Dont know how he gets in, from where he gets in, who let him in? But he loots both india and the opposite team, and just as quietly he slips away.

Because the fans let them think they are Gods for winning a few games in a row. Let them earn the title before proclaiming them. A win in T20 does not equal God status - it's T20 champions, well-done, that's it!!
Probably the fans could do them more favours by not blaming their losses, troubles and wickets on bad umpiring or supposed bad sportsmanship. They are supposed to be professionals, always doing their best, but the fans create excuses for them to play inconsistently like amateurs.

because our players are more consistent in doing shooting of advertisments and other non-cricket activities instead of being consistent in doing practise of cricket. more over they were feeded with lots of money so they have nothing for which they play cricket consistently.
and also they dont have any fear of being out of the team because most of them have political and some other kind of supports.

They r not in good form at the moment, they need some confidence, then they will play good cricket. Playing oz is not doin them any good. Oz makes em look ordinary as well. They r a good team, they just cant match it with us.

some times it happens but our cricketers love money and our cricketing level is much below than the ausies , our cricketing skills are not good, coaches are not good, and politics in selection and many more reasons are there

cause the players are not playin as a team, they are all playing for themselves, just look at the T20 championship, when they played as a team, we won almost all the matches.
