How much longer will tim duncan be considered a dominant force in the nba??

Tim Duncan will be considered a dominant force as long as he anchors the San Antonio Spurs dynasty and is the featured star on that team. As far as Duncan and Garnett go, statistically, they are damn near equal, except Garnett has a tendency to score more points on most nights. That rivalry boils down to one thing though....championships. How many does Duncan have? 4.... Garnett? 0..... Much of this can be attributed to the team around them, but it takes leadership to guide that supporting cast, and Duncan has that.

Tim Duncan is already 31 years old. Usually big men ends their effectivity at 34 (Noting Shaq, Hakeem and Patrick Ewing's career). With Tim getting injured almost frequently nowadays (although relatively short) I guess three more strong years. Unless he could take care of himself and have the longevity of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar but to be safe yeah only three more years.

For the other question, Tim Duncan would wound up being more effective of the two. Stats-wise Tim is logging behind KG mainly because he is the T-Wolves lone superstar... The Wolves have spent most of KG's prime to waste. Tim revolves in a team concept kind of basketball very much like Bill Russell preaches and that is why he's more successful of the two. KG is great but as Bill Russell puts it "Nobody's going to question you when you're winning" judging by that conclusion Tim has got to be a lot better.

maybe for another 6 to 8 seasons then hell be a hell of a mentor to build up the next best PF/C but Duncan is by far better than KG. good question.
