OK, why do they have to disply that on espn but it's ok to have every other show on normal tv to have graphic violents without warnings! Shows how much impact antis have on hunting.

In this day and age, people have been taught that they should be looking for things about which to be offended. The current thinking is that if you are not offended by something on almost a daily basis, you are simply too complacent. Therefore, there are many people out in TV land who would jump at the chance of having their delicate sensibilities offended by seeing an animal killed. This even though they chose to tune in a hunting show. Add to this the increasing litigious nature of the public due to ambulance chasing lawyers who advertise on TV trying to drum up business and you end up with every business out there, including the producers of TV shows, who live in constant fear of being sued for some imagined slight. This is why coffee cups have warnings on them telling you that the contents are hot. Coffee's hot? Gee ya think so? So, you have dim bulbs out there who will tune in a TV show about hunting and then get all upset because they see an animal killed (did they think this was a story about a petting zoo?). The next thing that happens is that they call one of those shyster lawyers who are constantly advertising on TV trying to convince everybody that they ought to be suing somebody, anybody and get their mitts on free money for their suffering at the hands of the insensitive TV producers. This is the reason for all of the monumentally stupid warnigs on everything such as a warning that I recently saw telling the purchaser of a hairdryer that it should not be used in a shower. Duh!! Ya think? And that is why producers of TV shows about hunting put warnings at the beginning of the show that animals will be shot on this show.

Some networks in effort to not offend any viewers put up disclaimers such as this one you are describing. That way all the bunny huggers, can turn the channel before seeing an animal killed for sport, or meat.
