After the race, the two drivers got into a confrontation about the pass that Fernando made on Felipe at the European GP. Felipe was cursing at Fernando telling him that he still needs to learn how to drive. Personally, I don't think so, but what do u guys think?

Atlanta has a promising group of "kids". Saltalacchia is a teriffic hitter stuck in the same organization as a teriffic hitter who also plays catcher - Brian McCann
Yunel Escobar is a teriffic hitter who backs up Chipper Jones, Renteria, or Kelly Johnson.
Kelly Johnson is a versitle hustle player who converted to 2B but also plays OF
Willie Harris & Matt Diaz share left field. Harris is having a solid year at the plate and has speed to burn. Diaz is a "professional hitter" who could be extremely valuable to an A.L. team as a DH
Scott Thorman is having a down year but shows a lot of promise with his power.
There are a few pitchers who could generate interest: B Carlyle, W Ledezma, R Soriano, & O VIllarreal.
Which guys are you keeping and which would you be willing to part with? Do you agree that starting pitching has to be their focus? Do you propose moving some of the high priced vets (Chipper, Andrew, Renteria or someone else) to let these kids take over?

In 1961 they put an asterisk next to Marris's name when he broke Ruth's record because Ruth did it in fewer games. With all of the controversy surrounding Bond's and steroids should he have an asterisk beside his name?

We know that a right handed batter swings a bat right to left and a left handed batter vice versa, but what determines this?

For example I'm a left hander batter ie: I swing the bat from left to right but why does hitting this way label you a "left handed" batter??

(This applies to many other sports as well ie.hockey, golf, etc.

as you may know in america football is called soccer. this is because football in america is some other random sport. american football has nothing to do with using your feet. football is older than america.

i have a plan that maybe someday we can change soccers name to football and force american football to change its name to something else. but i need help.

im only 15 and i dont know how to creat a web site (other than myspace) or deal with legal things. so i need someone to help creat a site. there people could sign a petition or something. eventualy someday we could force this change. we would need a certain amount of signatures and talk to the "NFL" and the "MLS" about this and so on and so forth. so please if someone does creat a site to help this cause post it here as an answer and let people know about it. or if someone already has created one then please post it here.

Thank you for all your help.

Whenever people ask me if I do any sports, they get mad when I say karate and tell me that isn't a sport. Why do so many people say martial arts aren't sports? Is it just because they don't involve being on a team and chasing a ball around like a dog, or am I missing something? I wonder this same thing when people say that chess shouldn't be considered a school sport. (Why did Yahoo suggest that I put this in the LGBT section?!)

I am a big Red Sox fan. Say I was up in the Green Monster at a Red Sox game, and the other team hits a home run and I get the ball. Personally, if I got the ball and it was hit by a big rival of the Red Sox, I would throw it back. Could I get thrown out of the game by security for doing that?

i think that ( i think it was like 2days ago right?) he played some pretty great left field. he came up in the KC minor league system playing left field, so maybe its just natrual to him. he doesnt have a great arm and i dont htink center was ever his best position. i really like melky cabrera in center. do you think that possibly one day hideki matsui will play right field (or is that too hard of a switch to make?) and maybe johnny will play left? johnny cant DH for ever so what are we going to do when giambi gets back? i like phillips at first, but do you think they will send him back down to the minors and put giambi (or maybe damon) at first and have damon (or giambi?) DH? i personally think that giambi's days are over, theres no reason for him to be here anymore. how much longer is his contract? okay anyway, let me know what you guys all think about all this stuff. thanks :)

best answer to who ever gives the most logical, smart response that is most likely to happen. :)

Hank Aaron said that he thought the triple was a lot more exciting than the home run because the play lasted so much longer. I've always used triples as an unofficial tie-breaker when comparing hitters. Ryne Sandberg used to hustle and get his fair share of 3 baggers even though he played in Wrigley and it always tickled me. Jim Rice on year led the league with 16, which dumbfounded me! Babe Ruth had over a hundred and Willie Mays used to make me gasp when he legged one of his over a hundred lifetime triples out.
So what is a similar stat that you like. (There really is no reason why triples impress me, I just like the stat.) Yours might be a pitchers stat or whatever.

I know that I'm beating a dead horse, but, if we are to insist on putting an asterisk after Bonds numbers, what about the numbers put up by Giambi, Palmeiro, McGwire, Sosa, Canseco, Clemens, and any other under suspicion by the general public? Just because Bonds is going for the record? If he had no chance of breaking the record, would we still care? Should we take a "verified" abuser like Giambi and Palmeiro and just plain erase their numbers for the last 10 years? If we ignore one mans numbers, we need to go across the boards.
Thoughts?

I dislocated my thumb once, and my ring finger last year and I don't think his thumb will be doing very good this upcoming weekend. He dislocated it in a nasty accident, racing late models last night near Lincoln, Nebraska. Here's the link with the latest from jayski. I hope he will be alright and at least it wasn't worse. I guess that's why many of them have clauses in their contracts about extracurricular racing.

There must be thousands of these simple-mindedly scripted films about Baseball, Basketball and (American) Football underdogs who win through at the last minute against all odds. Hate to tell you guys, but after seeing England in the last Rugby World Cup, that really puts it all into context.

And by the way, nobody outside the US (and possibly Canada) gives a damn about those games you're so obsessed with.
