I live in Pa and you do not need a permit to purchase a handgun you do have to pass a state police back ground check wich is easy if you have no felonies.And then the gun is yours.But if you want to carry a gun concealed you do need a permit.I was told to go to my county court house and go to the sherrifs office to apply for one.Like I said I live in Pa gun laws differ from state to state.If you dont get a answer on here just go to any gunshop in your county and ask the clerk all of your questions.He will know everything you need to know.You allways can go to Newark and buy one on the street but I think that would be a bad Idea.
