Players who lose in playoffs of majors don't come back well. The only player who recovered from a playoff loss to win multiple majors is Faldo. Take a look:

Masters playoff losers: (majors won since playoff loss)
'87 - Norman, Ballesteros (both won only one more major)
'89 - Hoch (0)
'90 - Floyd (0)
'03 - Mattiace (0)
'05 - DiMarco (0)

US Open playoff losers:
2001 - Mark Brooks (0)
1994 - Montgomerie, Loren Roberts (both 0)
1990 - Mike Donald (0)
1988 - Faldo (only exception)

British Open playoff losers:
1989 - W. Grady and Norman (0 and 1)
1995 - C. Rocca (0)
1998 - Brian Watts (0)
1999 - Van de Velde (0)
2002 - Appleby, Elkington, Levet (0)
2004 - Els (0)

PGA playoff losers:
2004 - DiMarco, Leonard (both 0)
1999 - May (0, but I think he was cheated by a fan)
1996 - Kenny Perry (0)
1995 - Colin Montgomerie (0)
1986 - Norman (1)

So what do you think Garcia's chances of ever winning a major are now? Bleak or none?

The LA Galaxy are desperate and crazy for paying that kind of money to a athelete, for a sport the majority of Americans can care less about. You can't make Americans like a sport, they think sucks and takes too long to score.

News Flash..... Los Angeles doesn't have a Real Football team, what makes them believe on man, will make people in LA, start liking soccer. The only ones that watch soccer are euro's and hispanics.

Do you think there should be official "Modern" and "Early" MLB record books? I was just looking at some of the records and so many of them are so far out of reach. For instance, here are a few of the records that will NEVER be broken: Nap Lajoie .426 batting average (1901), Hack Wilson 191 Rbis (1930), William Hamilton 196 runs (1894), Jack Chesbro 41 wins in a season (1904), Dutch Leonard .96 career Era (1914), Mathew Killroy 513 Ks, 1886, Cy Young, 511 wins, 16 years with 20 or more wins and 749(?) complete games, etc etc etc. These records will stand forever, because no one has even come close to them recently. I have all the respect in the world for these players, but baseball wasn't what it is today back then, which is why the record books should be seperate. If a player today hit .400 or drove in 175 runs, it would be an incredible feat that wouldn't mean jack in terms of records because someone did better back when the game was new and the overall talent wasn't that good.

The incredible hit the Colts took to the defense made them a one dimensional team, now with their best offensive lineman who guarded Manning's blindside gone is there any hope for the Colts to even go 8-8. I can't see them winning a game excepta against the Texans. Lots of pressure, sacks and hurryups on Manning. It's going to be ugly for Colts fans this year.
