I think Alonso took a risk and would have been in trouble with the stewards if he'd nurfed Massa off, or if they'd both gone off. It was a great move, and I've seen much dodgier stuff from Schumi and Senna over the years (and more dangerous stuff from Keke Rosberg and Gilles Villeneuve before that, although they were both very clean drivers unlike Schumi and Senna). We can't whine that F1 is boring and then complain when someone takes a chance passing someone else, can we?

I think Massa was more ticked off at Alonso accusing him of hitting his car deliberately. Look, Alonso was much faster than Massa at that point and took an 8 second lead over him in the five laps after passing him.
Alonso had the outside line, the faster line on a wet track. Racing incident. I think they both acknowledge that. The reaction was what provoked the argument.

I was glad to see Alonso overtaking someone. I've not been a fan of Alonso's overtaking, personally I think he's a bit clumsy at it. That said, Felipe must have known that his car wasn't working as well as the Mclaren at that stage of the race. I know he should try to defend, but Alonso was more or less past and Massa should have given him a bit more room.
I think Hamilton was right when he said that Alonso overtook him fair and square and that Massa should take it like a man.

My understanding of the confrontation is different.
I was about to go look at it again to be sure, and read a translation, but guess what! F1 Management is all over it, and you can't get to it on youtube.
Anyways, what I remember/thought.
Alonso confronted Massa (after pulling the camera to his car at the end of the race, pointing and making faces at a scuff where they had come to together) and accused Massa of doing it on purpose basically. Naturally Massa got angry and told him to learn how to drive.
That's what it seemed like to me. I thought Massa had the right to be angry, partially because I got annoyed at Alonso for his little stunt with the camera. But hey, I'm sure anyone in Massa's (or Alonso's) position would be angry. Who on earth likes getting bitched at?
It's smoothed over though, and makes me think of what a lot of drivers say. You can't dwell on the past in F1, you're always looking to the future; whether it be the next corner, the next lap, the next race, or the next season.

Actually it was Alonso who complained that Massa deliberately hit him on the pass and that's what Massa was mad about. Anybody in any motorsports would be stupid to intentionally hit another driver because both hitter and hittee have the potential to crash out. Driving hard, blocking, protecting you line or position is what it's all about. Any bumping, rubbing, touching resulting from that is what racing is all about. So, Massa should be mad at Alonso for accusing him of hitting him on purpose.

Let's see a 2 time World Champion and a never lives up to expectations? hmmmm... I don't see how you can logically take Massa's side on this?
After Massa wins a Championship or two maybe then he can carry Alanso's Sweaty driver's suit! Until then he needs to focus on driving HIS car!

no, not at all, it was a fantastic race and Fernando was well within his rights to take him. they had a row in which Fernando accused massa of hitting him on purpose, which he later retracted. he has since apologised for the accusation. they did an amazing job of keeping it on the track considering how much water was coming out of the sky. fantastic result for Fernando - won fair and square

i think it was a smooth move by Alonso, who never gave up and stole victory from Massa who was just annoyed that he got overtaken.
as Hamilton said at the end of race: it was a overtaking by Alonso and Massa should take it like a man.
