How about participation on R/S where it can get pretty brutal?

I believe we all share the fact that we are opinionated, that is a given.

I heard that if you read the Bible from i.e. England, that you'll find the words in the Bible different from a Bible in i.e Mexico.
Are the words different?
I know that all the Qurans in the world have the SAME word for word of writing, no matter what Quarn you read.
Is this the same for the Bible? are all of the bibles the same word for word?

She just mysteriously bacame pregnant with Jesus without the joy of trying.
How cruel is that? Or maybe she just told Joseph that because really she was cheating on him after he had the snip.
What do you think?

Yes Jesus loves me for the Bible tells me so
Jesus loves me this I know
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones to him belong
They are weak but he is strong

Yes Jesus loves me
Oh, yes Jesus loves me
Yes Jesus loves me for the Bible tells me so

Pressing on the up away
Always guide me Lord I pray
Undeserving, and stubbornly never fail to love me still

Yes Jesus loves me
Oh yes Jesus loves me
Oh yes Jesus loves me, for the Bible tells me so
Yes Jesus loves me, love
Oh yes Jesus loves me for the Bible tells me so
For the Bible tells me so

(Feels so good to know) that I'm never alone
See, sometimes I'm lonely but never alone
For the Bible tells, for the Bible tells
For the Bible tells me so

See I know that he loves me
Whether I'm right, whether I'm wrong

I love this Hymn,it helps me get by when times are hard.
Is it the same for you?

Islam and most other religions say things like:

"You can use Islam to make you a better Christian or whatever"

"You can use Buddhism to make you a better Muslim or whatever"

But when I look on TV or talk to people, they talk about how bad Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was.

There is a verse in the Quran that says: Those who believe in the Quran

And those who follow the Jewish (scriptures)

And the Christians and the Sabians

Any who believe in Allah(God)
And the last day
And work righteousness,
Shall have their reward

With their lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
Its in the beginning of Section 8
Even when I was beginning to get interested in Islam, they asked me to read and make sure that I really understand it and understand y I would wont to join Islam.

I'm not being prejudice, but I doubt that any Christian will ever say something like this; or maybe there r some who will, its just that most Christians I run into have a prejudice.

Why is this so?

It is sad and unfortunate that any "Christian" or Christian organization would endorse such an evil invention as Harry Potter. The Bible clearly condemns any type of involvement with the wicked works of witchcraft. I was saddened to learn from one of my faithful web visitors that Christianity Today magazine was endorsing Harry Potter. I looked into the matter myself and it was confirmed. Below is one such article on their website. If you'll simply perform a site search on Christianity Today's website under "Harry Potter," you'll be sickened as any God-fearing Christian should be. Harry Potter is evil and we should not endorse such wickedness.

Are the stories meant to be read to teach us lessons and about God or are they to be read as actual history?

I'm really not thin-skinned (although this question may imply the opposite).

I'm simply frustrated by watching Believers become defensive when they feel attacked simply because someone disagrees with their beliefs. How is it possible to present a different viewpoint without triggering the hostility?

I have posted questions conscerning why Christians persecute athiests on here. It is not right or just to do so. Now I would like to know how based on belief in a God (any God) makes me stupid. I have a masters in SCIENCE. I am not stupid. I would also like to know why you judge so harshly and call 14 and 15 yr old kids jerks for posting Do you Love God? How does believing make me a jerk. It is childish and immature and would like to know why? sorry if I sound angry. I am not trying to rant.

An atheist was walking through the woods.
'What majestic trees'!
'What powerful rivers'!
'What beautiful animals'!
He said to himself.

As he was walking alongside the river, he heard a rustling in the bushes behind him.
He turned to look. He saw a 7-foot grizzly bear charge towards him.

He ran as fast as he could up the path. He looked over his shoulder & saw that the bear was closing in on him.

He looked over his shoulder again, & the bear was even closer. He tripped & fell on the ground. He rolled over to pick himself up but saw that the bear was right on top of him, reaching for him with his left paw & raising his right paw to strike him.

At that instant the Atheist cried out, 'Oh my God!'

Time Stopped.
The bear froze.
The forest was silent.

As a bright light shone upon the man, a voice came out of the sky. 'You deny my existence for all these years, teach others I don't exist and even credit creation to cosmic accident.' 'Do you expect me to help you out of this predicament?Am I to count you as a believer'?
The atheist looked directly into the light, 'It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask you to treat me as a Christian now, but perhaps you could make the BEAR a Christian'?

'Very Well,' said the voice.

The light went out. The sounds of the forest resumed. And the bear dropped his right paw, brought both paws together, bowed his head & spoke:

'Lord bless this food, which I am about to receive from thy bounty through Christ our Lord, Amen.'

Does taking up your cross ever get so heavy that you've felt you could not walk any further?

So many of the ways in which we observe Christmas are inherently unChristian, aren't they?

We give lavish gifts to our families and friends, silently confident that they will give to us, forgetting those who cannot or will not return our generosity. We make some token gesturs to the poor, but its really all about giving to our own small nuclear family or group, and also about receiving.

Is this Christianity?

I'm all for CELEBRATING Christmas. We should have a party. Its Jesus' birthday! But the party is to be for all humankind.

Instead, we just have all sorts of hedonistic rituals. And we let consumerism and greed enter into every part of Christmas.

When i was 7 years old, i completely believed in god. I even became reborn just to try and be closer to him. I praised him and exalted his name. l prayed to god let my father stop beating my mother all the time. I did not ask for the abuse against me to stop because the bible taught me that would be for personal gain. The abuse never stop, it became worse. It took me 38 years to overcome the psychological damage i suffered as a child. My mother is a broken woman today. When my prayers was not answered i researched the origins of the god concept. It is then that i realised how my hope and trust in a god was created by the men who made these religious doctrines. There is no god! I am annoyed because i wasted a lot of fruitless energy believing in a non-existent god. Don't you realise the harm you cause when you make little children believe in a god that does not exist? Especially children who are being abused or who have to live in the streets or from welfare.
