If i did it with Jesus?

EASTER: The day celebrated of Jesus' death and ressurrection, also at this time of year the pagan festivals to their goddess were held. It was NOT stolen, it's just coincidence they are celebrated at the same time. But many pagan traditions, (bunnies, chocolate eggs, the name 'Easter'), were carried on to Christianity as the two festivals were blurred.

HALLOWEEN: Don't know much about it, but the day of All Saints' Day, a day set aside for all the Saints, was set as this time of year to cancel out the pagan festivals. MANY pagan traditions, (pumpkins, trick-o-treating, monsters, ghosts), were carried over.

CHRISTMAS: Same as Hallow'een, used to convert the early pagans from their own beliefs. Still, it is celebrated as the birthday of the Son of God when He entered this world in the flesh of a man.

So is this true? I gathered it myself. I personally believe as long as we're not going too deep into paganism, it's alright to celebrate these festivals. What do you think?

If the Bible was true then how did God write it? That sounds impossibe. The Bible from my understanding depicts God as someone that's mean, he kicked adam and eve out of eden just because they ate his apple? what's up with that? How do we know the things like the flood in the bible ever happened? and why would God want to make a bunch of people drown? that doesn't seem loving. If God created people out of his own thing or whatever thenn why do people do evil things? If God can do anything why does he allow pain and suffering in the world? He doesn't even give starving children innn africa a chance because they can die as kids and not evenn have a chance to learnn who God is let alone care?

How is this explained to you within the organization? How do you answer people who ask why God wouldnt give correct information the first time? The bible says the Lord doesnt change and His word is solid. How do you rectify new light? I am really looking for serious answers only, please and thank you :)

Examining the way the human brain works and how memory is obtained and dissolved. I think, being that we have books(bible or the like) it seems to serve as a constant reminder of certain events. If books or the written word was never created and mast produced. Would we forget our past sins and transgressions?
Would we be a better people? It seems that because of the reminder of wrong doings, we tend to judge ourselves more harshly then anyone else, and when we judge others we transfer guilt instead of judging in a uncontaminated manner.

is the final authority because their organization claims to be the only channel of communication between God and people. It does not really matter what the Bible clearly says because they they only believe what the organization tells them the verse means.

I know him :) He doesn't have the red hat, the beard or the belly, but he has what matters most, the generosity. He's been taking the time to make wonderful presents for his friends, and to make them smile, for months and, much specially, this month.

Why is it that christians feel they need to blackmail people into believing? By threatening non-believers with a fate of Hell? Do they not take into account that there is a portion of this planet that will never hear of the Bible or of God just because they are not in contact with our Western culture, or because they are blind and deaf, etc... According to christians, even though these are God's people and He loves them, they are automatically condemned to Hell when they die. How silly! How selfish, to think that only people who are acquainted with Western religion have a hope at an afterlife!

What an antiquated and self-centered way of thinking. Hell must be packed with so many millions of people who never encountered christianity, from the center of the Pacific or deep in the hills of China. Why do christians refuse to think through these things and insist that only their view is correct?

I just recieved a very rude email about my beliefs. Do you think that I should report this person or just leave it be?

This is the email : I will not try to push religion down your throat, but just keep One thing in mind:
If you don't believe there is a god, you better hope to HELL you are right! Otherwise you will burn there for ever!
If you believe in god and die and you were wrong. There is really nothing after this, you have lost nothing!
If you don't believe and god does exist, when you die you have lost every thing, because you will burn in HELL!
Go to the Kitchen right now, turn on the stove and put your Arms, Legs, Head and Body on the burners. You will get a Third degree burn all over your body and it will be the worst pain you have ever felt. Your flesh will melt off your bones. If hell exists, it will be that realistic and the pain and burning will last FOREVER!!
Like I say, I will not push religion on you or any one else, but just keep that in mind!!!

In Mark 3:28-29, Jesus says:

"I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."

Why is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit the only sin that won't be forgiven? What about mass murder and serial rape? If they will be forgiven, why won't blaspheming against the holy spirit be fofgiven too?

Right now I don't even know if I believe in God. Either way life is pointless. If there is a God, are we here just to worship him? He doesn't sound so loving if you think about it that way. Why did God create the entire Universe for a tiny little spec of nothing called the Milky Way, for a tiny little spec of nothing which is our solar system, just for the damn earth. If there isn't a God why the hell is anyone here? Why the hell does the universe exist? For what purpose? Don't say it just is, cuz I don't want to hear that crap. Why the f*** did I ever have to be born if life is meaningless? So I can reproduce and have children? Is that my purpose? And then it's there purpose to reproduce, the same way it was for me? So basically are purpose is to produce something that serves the same pointless and meaningless purpose. Why the hell are we here? Why the hell is there anything? Why is there existence? Only educated answers please.
