Protestants never show respect to other religions. At least, why don't they just not care about Muslims, Catholics, or Mormons? I don't think they are even doing their own job as Christians. Is bashing on other religions one of their tenets that make them Protestants or what?

My question is for Jehovah Witnesses only. How do you explain to another person, why you don't celebrate Christmas. I would love to have biblical scriptures to back up your reasoning.I only want the reason for Christmas. Please give me answers. Thank you so much.

Remember people..I would only like for J.W.'s to answer. I am not interested in why you think they don't celebrate it. I am not interested in assumptions.

This rule also applies to people who claim that there is a God who does the same.
You can't prove there isn't a talking banana who rules the universe and I can't prove there isn't a God who does the same, but both are equally as unlikely aren't they?

21 "It was also said, 'Whoever divorces his wife must give her a bill of divorce.' But I say to you, whoever divorces his wife (unless the marriage is unlawful) causes her to commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

I have heard some say it is a world religion. If it is a world religion it should let people convert.

I have a very hard time with church. People are so phony most of the time. Also, I feel like some preachers are out to give people an emotional high instead of really teaching the Word of God, and when people come off of that emotional high, they hit low and are resentful. Do you think that Christians who don't attend church regularly are "un-Christian"?

Did God plan for people to go to hell? And did he also plan for some babies to die right after they are born?
If he did not plan out our lives, does he not know all? I have been told that God is TOTALLY omniscient

the last magdalene asylum closed on september 26th 1996.

the women who were 'rescued' by the magdalene movement were forced to do arduous physical labour, for which they were usually unwaged. (the roman catholic church in ireland charged heavily for their services). they were forced to call the staff of the institutions 'mother' (while they in turn were called 'child'), and were regularly beaten at least down to the 1960s.

if any organisation other than a church had been doing this in western europe the régime would have been recognised as one of slavery.

why should it be different for roman catholics?

Have you ever researched to find out if your understanding is true? Do you think that Catholic Christians believe the pope is incapable of sin? Do you believe that Catholic Christians believe that the pope is incapable of error?

In either the question (calling people chicken or morons ) or in the answer (calling the asker "idiot" or some other offensive name)? It seems like quite a few people are making arguments for the 'other team' by their actions.

Must I acquire a PhD in religious studies before I can say there's no evidence for the existence of any god?

-- If an atheist has no right to make any claims about the likely non-existence of any god, then it seems to me that believers have no right making a positive claim about their god's existence, either. You don't want to use a double standard, now, do you?

The Law of Atraction

2007-12-16 08:20:23 · 10 answers · asked by Wallace Stegner 4

I was reading this book about a year ago and it was talking about the after life, and no matter the race or backround or even location all of them saw there family members and got a chance to go to heaven but lived to tell it at the end.
They even had a special section of non believers, people who never believe in a God and that they were only worm food came back and decided to become Christians.

And then there were some who believed in God but never choose to have a religion.

Would reading this book change there views maybe?
I will admit I was crying because it was so touching.
