JWs believe if they can prove all the other religious groups are "pagan" - then by default, they are the true religion.

God is both, Jesus is both, Jesus is God. He can save you if you accept Him as your Lord and Savior. Jesus is the only way to heaven.

Moises_Frias: I agree, if you are not a man, you are a woman.
The same thing if you call God and angel, that does not make Him angel.
God is God. Jesus is God. Religion does not save you, Jesus saves.

Troll to troll: This unfair reporting is cowrdly. They also insist writing that I am a former JW even though I have told many times that I have never been a JW.

If I ever get deleted, I will ask all my questions again. I am not here for points and levels. I serve my Lord Jesus.

According to Jehovah's Witnesses, the end of false religion is near. They distributed this world wide message last 12 months ago. I am reading the leaflet now and it says:

'What is false religion? Are you distressed about crimes commited in the name of religion? Do the warfare, terorism, and corruption perpetrated by those who claim to serve God offend your sense of justice? Why does religion seem to be at the root of so many problems? The fault lies, not with all religion, but with false religion...

'False Religion... Meddles in War and Politics, spreads false doctrine (immortal soul is quoted as an example), tolerates immoral sex (illustrated by the face of what looks like a Roman Catholic priest).'

'How will false religion end?' it asks, and then graphicly describes the vision in Revelation of the Harlot sitting on the back of the Beast with seven heads and ten horns. Who is this harlot? 'She depicts, not any one religion, but all religions that produce rotten fruit. The beast that the harlot rides pictures the world's political powers. False religion straddles the back of this political beast, attempting to influence its decisions and to control its direction... the world's political powers will turn on false religion and completely destroy her!'

Happily for the reader of this leaflet, who is probably half scared to death by now, there is a way out, a solution. 'What must you do if you do not want to share the fate of false religion? The only haven is within true religion. How can you identify true religion?'

According to the leaflet, true religion can be identified by practicing love, trusting in God's Word and strenghtening families and upholding high moral standards.

'Does any religion meet these standards?' they ask. Why yes! 'Jehovah's Witnesses do not just preach the Bible's moral standards - they live by them.' Then follows the appeal to help the reader learn what God requires so they can worship God acceptably.

So, in answer to your question, Jehovah's Witnesses believe they can prove all other religions are false and that they are the only true religion.

The implication is that they are the only people whose worship pleases God. They also believe that only they will survive the battle of Armageddon (still just round the corner). If your theology differs from theirs (no such thing as hell fire, no such thing as the immortal soul, only 144,000 will go to heaven, the triune nature of the Godhead is pagan and Jesus was not divine when he came to earth, etc., etc.) then you are part of false religion. I guess that means you and me, then.

P.S. The ONE FAITH refers to Christianity, not a sect. The true church is the body of Christ, made up of people who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour, who call upon his name for the forgiveness of sins and who follow in his footsteps. Those Christians are in the New Covenant and they have been born again by water and by the Holy Spirit. And their expectation is to be with Christ, in heaven, forever. So that means 99.9% of Jehovah's Witnesses do not qualify because, according to them, only the 144,000 are fully anointed with the Holy Spirit and have a heavenly hope.

I do not know if they believe this or not. But, yes if any group COULD prove ALL other groups were wrong they would indeed be the true Religion of view for that matter. However, they would only remain true as until the next one came to challenge the contender. On the day of Judgment we will all find out who was right. I believe we will find out that no one Church or group will be totally right. Heaven will be awarded on the merits God places value in and even the Bible that most Christians carry tell us some will get in and never knew they were going to and some who were expecting engraved invitations will find themselves in a very sorry state.

Yes it is what they believe and preach! They refuse to research their own history and claim they are all lies about them,Pride they have which is a no no in the bible. I'd rather be a pagan that can repent instead of a false prophet that is doomed. I'm still waiting on the 6 Armageddon dates prophesied by C. T Russell and Joe Rutherford, as you know we are all suppose to be killed by their prophecy long time ago.

Their own history have proven that they are a false religion - when they have foretold the end of the world, and it didn't come. How many times did that happen?
Also they automatically discredit that which they do not agree with - how blind is that?
And they exclaim - Oh, that is the work of the devil! Not seeing what is actually there instead - just men doing bad or stupid things. Why blame it on the devil at all?
Jehovah's Witnesses are programmed and conditioned by their WatchTower organisation, and they don't want to read or listen to anyone else. Now how silly is that?
The more you know about them, the more you don't want to have anything to do with them...

this list was passed around and the "apostates" were blocked from questions and reported often. There was many emails sent back and forth between the block. A couple disagreed but most followed suit. Many nonJWs and exJWs followed this closely.
So the "Christians" seemed to have driven off this group.

There are people still being reported and reported often enough by enough people they are deleted. Even if it is the same person under six handles?!

This seems to be the Y! system.

Now here is a good one Danny is a poster that main thrust was the doctrine of blood transfusions and he got deleted.
later the religious group you refer to lost a young mother to this very thing.

Some do have pagan ways...In the Bible it says to go in to your room and shut the door to do your praying. Pagans hold hands and repeat the same stuff. HE does not want us to act like them. I am sure I am alone on this.

disagree.

What determines the true congregation is the existence of Jehovah's chosen ones---regardless of their spiritual condition. God certainly knows those who belong to him. And, as reality and prophecy indicate, all such chosen ones are part of one household.

When the master comes for the judgment, he comes to one household of servants and, within that one household, some will be judged as faithful and others will be judged as evil and sluggish slaves.

Non-denominational born again Christians should consider moving inside God’s house rather then standing outside of it, before the master arrives.

I don't know exactly what Jehovah's Witnesses believe, since I am not one. I can't speak on their behalf but, just because a religion is pagan doesn't mean that it is automatically false and untrue.

I do not agree. Jehovah's Witnesses focus on what the Bible says, not on what the Bible does not say. JWs point out that there is only one true religion. Eph. 4:5 says: "One Lord, ONE FAITH, one baptism." 1 Cor. 1:10 says: "Now I exhort you, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that you should all speak in agreement, and that there should not be divisions among you, but that you may be fitly united in the same mind and in the same line of thought."

Will someone tell Yummy that there are no sects or divisions in true Christianity (the ONE FAITH). Either a person is a Christian or he's not. Apostates are going from bad to worse.

The only thing detractors of Jehovah's Witnesses are united in is their opposition to the only ones who are truly doing what Jesus commanded of his followers.

To refine my point, take a look at those who agree with you. They are perfectly satisfied with your point of view about JWs. But consider this: It is a given that they are most likely of a number of different religions. That means there MUST BE something they believe in that goes contrary to your beliefs, otherwise, all of you would be in the SAME religion. So, how can that be the Christian way since Paul said at 1 Cor. 1:10 that true Christianity should have NO DIVISIONS and that there is only ONE FAITH? (Eph. 4:5) But you and those who agree with you are divided in your "Chistian" beliefs. The only thing that you and others with your confusing and unscriptural beliefs are united in is your hatred for one particular religious group.

JWs are not surprised about what others think of them. As Jesus said at John 15:19: "If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you."

Jehovah's Witnesses are not out to prove others wrong. Their objective is to prove the Bible right and how others can align themselves with those who wish to do God's will.

If you say Jesus is the true God, then you don't believe in the trinity, as you have said, since the trinity says that the Father, Son, and the holy spirit all make up one God, not just Jesus. John 17:3 says that Jesus called his Father, Jehovah, the ONLY true God.

Since you say God is a trinity, please show us where the holy spirit is also called the Alpha and Omega. If the trinity is true, shouldn't there be THREE Alpha and Omegas instead of one?

It is ironic that you point an accusing finger at JWs with all this paganism flying around Christmas, a pagan holiday that many non-witness Yahoo users have acknowledged. But I guess that does not matter to you.
