How about participation on R/S where it can get pretty brutal?

I believe we all share the fact that we are opinionated, that is a given.

Are we extroverts?

Or does the anonimity of the computer allow for introverts to feel comfortable enough here to speak out.?

I am very much an introvert. I love science, philosophy, psychology and studying human behavior, even though I hate society. So it works out here on Yahoo. I get to study behaviors, answer questions using my knowledge, all while being separate from the society.

We're definitely communicative, in writing, at least. Whether we are verbally communicative, who knows, I suspect everyone's different.

I'm neither introverted nor extroverted - just balanced. I'm sure we have plenty of those who are both and those who are neither here.

I suppose you have to be able to absorb, generally, the rules of the site (if you want the account to last longer than a few hours).

You have to be able to use a keyboard, obviously, and from what I see here, some of key very rapidly. Then again, there's voice recognition software too.

I think that everyone here enjoys participating, and doing so in a Q & A format, for various reasons, the main one being that everyone has an opinion, and most people love to share their opinions (and even knowledge sometimes).

I believe all can find a place here. I tend to stick to my own group. When I have ventured out it seems that I step on a few toes. That was not my intention so it is best to just leave it alone. I still like to find those questions that I can answer to help people think without causing any hurt feelings.

Thick skin, backbone, sense of humor, firm foundation for your beliefs, sarcasm, ability to take criticism....it's a little similar to debate class, but anonymously.

I have seen several of your answers, and I'm sure you and I agree on very little......Is Yahoo an obsessive compulsive disorder?
Do you think there is anyone who has actually changed their religious beliefs as a result of Q & A on Yahoo?

Maybe a healthy dose of sarcasm and a sense of humor. However, it seems far too many on here have nothing but ignorance, narrow-mindedness, and hatred.

You just have to play nice! If you can't disagree without resorting to name calling or personal insults then you don't have a valid argument anyway.

I think people need to be less sensitive. I've gotten like 7 violations this week.

I think patience and tolerance help but mainly it's the ability to stay calm under fire.

In R&S a tough skin, fast typing and a good wit...
A good understanding of your beliefs because these guys can be smart and cruel.
