So what? If the Christian god is as loving as you pretend he is, then he'll forgive without being asked to because thats what a loving person does. If he throws me into hell anyway, then I'd rather be in hell than spend eternity with the sadistic selfish egomaniacle bastard that is the Christian god.
Honey, if you believe only because you're afraid you could be wrong, any god will know that and punish you anyway.
Frankly, the Christians could be wrong and Quetzacoatal runs the world. So tell me.... what if the ancient Aztecs were right and the Christians are wrong?
Same damned thing.

My Xian friends often ask this. I am sure all atheists/agnostics have been asked this at some point.
All I can say is we agnostic types are very open-minded to all possibilities. In fact, we have typically searched many a explanation about the world, to include the Xian interpretation. And in this case, after examining my better than average understanding of Xianity, I am willing to take my chances on this Jesus thing and will happily gamble my soul that I am most likely correct and you are most likely incorrect.
And even if you are correct, then we non-Xians will be left after the Rapture to run things. Maybe we can do better than the Xians?

The soul has no nervous system.
ashes to ashes and dust to dust.
There is nothing after death.
Live according to the laws of the land as you will be jailed or fined.
The drop of water merges with the ocean and loses its identity.
If the Christians are right - the Hindus are wrong. Hell will be overcrowded.
Good for Christians - they will have more land.

Christians are not right, brain washed yes. LOOK at the facts, study all books not just religious ones and you to can live with out guilt. If you are told you are a rock long enough you will think you are a rock. The church uses the same method.

Everybody is wrong including athiests
Because No one actually knows.
It can't be known.
Religious beliefs including so-called non-beliefs are merely mental attachments to conclusions that are deemed acceptable by the local community, family or nation.
They are the result of brain washing of various types.
No body knows.
I repeat; it can't be known.
Even the churches preach that it is unknowable and then go about brainwashing the congregation, who parrot like birds the programmed thought.

And what if the Muslims are right?
The Hindus?
The Greeks?
The Egyptians?
The Jews?
The Aborigines?
etc. etc.
Look at this list: http://lowchensaustralia.com/names/gods.htm
Every single one of them has just as good a chance of being right as the Christians. If you're going to use that argument, then you'd better get busy worshiping all of these gods...*just in case*...

Then I'm wrong - I'm not perfect nor do I expect to be. That doesn't mean I'm falling on my knees to worship an entity that cannot do itself what it asks of others. In a case like that, I'd rather spend my eternity out of its company.
Not that I ever worry about what isn't going to happen....

What if you get to heaven and Allah is waiting for you?
Most of the people alive now or who have ever existed have not been Christian. I'll take my chances.
