Since we know the Christ had knowledge of things that were to come in His Church don't you think He was aware of how much confusion and division leaving us only a Bible would cause due to personal interpretation don't you think He might have left us some other guidlines to follow? I mean our Countries fore fathers did not leave us just the Constituition but also a government. Would Christ not have done the same?

A puppy grows into a dog. A flower seed grows to be a flower. It is the same with all life on earth. This the way God created them. Why would his creation of humans be any different? He is our father right? Are we not his offspring?

If we are God's children, then when we grow and mature will we not have the potential to someday be like him? Is this not his plan? Does he not love us?

The key word here is potential.

I always read posts saying what "Christians" believe and don't believe, and most of them by protestants who seem to think the name "Christian" only applies only to them and not Catholics or Eastern Orthodox. My questions is: How can a group that represents less than 20% of all Christians say what Christians believe? Here are some simple facts:

The total number of Christians in the world is: 2.1 billion. This is how it breaks down:

1) Catholics: 1.3 billion
2) Eastern Orthodox: 0.4 billion
3) Protestansts (Baptists, Lutherans, etc. etc): 0.4 billion

In light of these statistics, how can a group that represents less than 20% of Christians say what Christians believe? And, more than that, among themselves they argue endlessly because that small group is divided into hundreds of "denominations" who all disagree on doctrines. Yet they claim that the Holy Spirit guides them when they read the Scriptures. The arrogance is stupifying. I have never a good reply to this.

some say pre tribulation mid or post tribulation. I think all 3 are correct that it depends on our faithfulness to preach the gospel.
If we are faithful we will be pre tribulation, if we are not the tribulation will start and if we wake up and do it ,we will be mid tribulation. But if we still do not heed the warnings we will suffer the whole tribulation. Any thoughts?

just heard the news that theyve mannaged to get cells from a tissue sample to regress back to stems i think they said they had managed to acquire 7 different kinds of stem cells already.....

assuming this research goes ahead and the stems are all fine

surely this should mean theres no reason the church should oppose stem cell research any more given that no fetal stems are recquired

Logically speaking, don't you need to have a premises that a thing to exist to dispute it's existance. Even if God was just an invention of men, even if God was only an imagionation to cover the fear of the unknown, shouldn't the concept of God has to exist before disputing its existance? Wouldn't it be more logical for atheists to claim "God no longer exists" or "God is dead" than "God doesn't exist?

Even though I am an atheist, I used to be Catholic, and I respect all kinds of religious people. We're all same people anyways, we just have different beliefs.

Whenever I meet new people, we get along pretty well. But as soon as I tell them that I'm an atheist, they stop contacting with me, immediately.

I know I'm an amazing person. But people dislike me just because I'm an atheist.

So Christians, what is the main reason you hate atheists so much, especially when some atheists like me don't have you back?

Mark 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
.................................................................

Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Does this scripture take away from Matthew 28:19?
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Does this deny the Father and Holy Ghost or does this fulfill what Jesus was saying?

It's a United Methodist Camp, it's a week long camp, and the ages are 12-14 (6th to 8th grades).

There are family groups, special interests activities, themed programs and music.

The program needs to flow through the week, with daily topics or sub-themes, and of course be age appropriate.

I'd like it to be common, maybe a play on some popular subject among the young teens today. I'd also like it to be something that may implement the youth being active in different social issues in the world...maybe...or that may be too big...

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

This is just one of my teachers view and she is very sweet so its not a hate thing. And I have been reading about past lives but don't really believe in it but you never know I guess :>/

Anyway Atheists are lower level spirits that will someday come back and will have a religion if not they continue to come back.
The true religion is one that believes in Jesus and God. Once they reach that level they have to learn other things just like everyone else. So there really behind growth wise.

I found it very interesting and a new view point.

What are your thoughts on this?

She said the highest level is when you no longer have to return to earth.

Why, or why not?

If not, when do you think it's better not to tell the truth?

Is it always good to say what you think, or are there situations when it's better to say nothing? Which?

Thank you for your answers! :)

Have a wonderful day! :)

Alot to do with 2012.
I've read alot about Christ coming back in the spirit, rather than the flesh.

I'm not really educated with this whole Mayan concept.
Any info would be great.
Thanks.
