...Full question:
*If a Christian (few in real life, but more on the Net) finds the Christian path to be hard - why on earth would he/ she point fingers at non-Christians (expecting them to live by their Christian ways)?

+I mean, if I were a Buddhist/ Hindu and find my enlightenment very tough; or if I were a Pagan struggling with prejudice, I surely would shut up and still continue walking the walk, right?

Why would I even bother about whether or not my Christian neighbour is saying grace at dinner, etc, etc? And God forbid that I should expect him/ her to be reading the same Sutra as I am!

+Do some of these Christians secretly wish they could be practicing what we 'heathens' are practicing?

(Further note: I'm more bewildered and not so much bothered - so don't worry, I'm pretty ‘chilled’ now.)

It must be easy to be an expert in every category when the answer to all the questions are God. When answering "God" to every question, did your score reflect your expertise or did the ignorant and evil liberal grading system discriminate against your beliefs?

In my dream the snakes were in my home and would not leave. I even grabbed one and threw it outside and it somehow got back inside my house. I eventually got a kitchen knife and cut the heads off of both snakes and wondered why I didnt do that from the begining.

I have a friend that is gay, doesn't ever go to church, is pro-choice and thinks it's ok to be a "cafeteria Catholic" choosing to agree with some things but not others...I say that he can't be a catholic then. He acts more like it's a democracy in which you can agree with some parts of it and not others I thought it was more like a dictatorship and not a democracy. Is he a Catholic or not?

No, I don't have hard evidence he exists, but there isn't hard evidence that he doesn't, either. If it makes people feel good to believe in a supreme being, why persecute them? There are some over-the-top types who commit crime and acts of hate in the name of God - I'm not talking about these folks. These folks are loco. But can't we just agree to disagree without calling each other "stupid" and "ignorant"?

My friend became born again and says his parents are sinners because they had children out of wedlock. They have been together 31 years but never married. Doesn't make too much sense to me.

today, I found myself hugging a girl who I once considered an enemy, and crying with her and offering her advice. I felt her pain and suffering as she was dealing with a difficult family problem. I am starting to consider her my friend. Something years ago I thought would never happen.

If I can make this change in my life, could others make it to? Tell me, what turns enemies into friends?

Just a few days ago one youth shot-up a Christian Mission and then went on to shoot-up a Church . He left messages in notes and emails that he 'wanted to kill as many Christians' as he could . Not all violence is directed at Christians though . Many times it's directed in general at anyone in society . But there's also no denying that many many youths have targeted and shot classmates, teachers, family, parents, and acquaintances. And this is not something that occurred regularly before the 1980's or 1990's . The increase is astounding . The guns were far more easily attained BEFORE all of this too , so it can't be guns .
So what is it ? Selfishness? Greed? Molly-coddling our youth? Hate? ......... or maybe the obvious, the continued removal of God from many aspects of our society ?

I have been watching athists for some years now growing up. I notice that unlike most other arguments athists seem to have an unusualy strong dislike towards religion.

Its ok if you hate somethng thats different from mine but when you get all hot and bothered about it to the point of near insainty one has to wonder. I can respect an athists decision but i dont understand why they have a need to trample a religion and speak blasphemouse things about god and worshippers at every chance they get.

Why are athists the way they are i mean ,,,,,HOW DID THEY COME TO HATE RELIGION AND SEEM TO ENJOY IT? DID THEY HAVE A BAD EXPIRIENCE WITH IT IN LIFE AT SOME POINT.

Im asking this cos i want to understand where your coming from if your an athist im not judging anyone.

Today and yesterday on a local radio station, they were playing a tape of a call into a Texas radio station. (I think it was a Christian station.)

This little boy called in very disturbed about an old cow on his farm or whatever. He sounded no older than 9 or 10. He was talking about the cow had broken her back and he put her down himself and was sort of crying and obviously disturbed about this whole situation. (Where was his mama??) Then he went on to talk about the cow dying was the same as God giving up Jesus to die for us. The radio guy was like, yes, that's true, absolutely true.

Am I a cold heartless you know what or am I the only person who thinks that makes no sense whatsoever?? Obviously, I feel for the boy and hope someone helped him with the loss of the cow, the death of which seemed to really hurt him. Plus, he is probably way too young to have put an animal down!!

But from a religious standpoint, how does what he was saying make sense?

why is it so important that we have a definite answer this moment on what caused the big bang? why are some people so impatient to find a logical answer which they will ultimately deny? to say i don't to a question does mean anyone has given up looking for an answer. it just means i don't know.
are these people just as impatient when matters which actually affect their lives? let's say you go to the doctor because you're sick. the doctor says, "i need to evaluate your symptoms for a week before i can diagnose what's wrong with you. then we can begin treatment." would you be so impatient as to tell your doctor, "no. i need to know now"? would you rather your doctor make up an answer and be wrong? would you rather your doctor tell you you're sick because god wants you to be sick and there's nothing he can do about it?

Can I get a refund or an exchange for a new life? If a 1,000 years is like a day to god, then I figure I'm well within the 30-day return policy. Plus, the customer is always right. So, can I get a new life?

To the best of my knowledge, these have never existed in the Middle East/Mediterrean, where the bible is centred. Were they created as a backup plan? Is it the devil's attempt at a parody of mammals? Was Australasia not affected by the flood?

in the USA.
There are arm guards in christian churches in the USA.
That kind of ridiculous for a country wanting to spread
democracy in the MiddleEast.
America should clean their own filth before imposing it
on another country.
It seems to me ,they need help from Islam.
