Why were dinosuars not mentioned in the Bible? How did dinosuars even come to be did God create them and not tell us? If everybody came from Adam and Eve does that mean we are all the result of imbreeding? If God created people in his image than why does it seem like a lot of people think God is a white man when he could be any color or any sex? Back when Jesus was alive it was ok to say you talked to God but now if you say that people think you're crazy? God and Mary never had sex so doesthat mean Jesus was a clone of God?

I believe in God but some of the Bible seems made up.

in short, to my understanding it states that the big bang was caused by the collision of two other universes. so in a sense, it answers the question what happened before the big bang. it accounts for where all the matter in our universe came from. and it does all of this without invoking god or an intelligent agent into the discussion. will christians be satisfied with this theory and stop asking what caused the big bang? if so, should we expect a new line of question to arise concerning where the two colliding universes came from?

and then they all die - i'm talking a large number of people in a catastrophic situation - does that mean not even god could save them, or does it mean that god didn't want to save them?

Or why is a Designer more likely than a multiverse?

((Designer as in a general intelligence responsible for the structure and laws of the universe, no specific deity))

I don't get it.

Assumptions:
1. God gives humans free will.
2. God "reveals" himself through an ambiguous book but refuses to make himself continuously known in a physical form on Earth.
3. Those who refuse to pledge their fealty ala John 3:16 are sent to hell.

Why would a god need to test his creations? Is this some experiment? The only answer I can come up with is:

42

If you do not understand this answer, you did not ask the right question.

The Earth is a supercomputer designed by hyper-dimensional pan-dimensional beings to figure out the ultimate question to life, the universe, and everything.

I ask the question here because I see that term used frequently on R&S and I'm wondering if there is a separate meaning to it.

Why did God create man with the intelligence and curiousity to poke around and try to figure out how the world works? And for that matter, why did he create the world in such a way that its underlying principles could be unravelled? We know a fair bit about the building blocks of matter, universal constants, DNA coding, etc. Not everything, of course, but if there was a God who didn't like us peeking behind the curtain, why leave all this information out in the open?

Seriously, I do not mean to blasheme or offend anyone but what is the big deal about Jesus dying for our sins when he knew he was coming back to life again in three days.

stating that all life can and is explained by natural causes acting randomly over time. Therefor there is no need for a creator. No life after death, no ultimate foundations for ethics, no ultimate meaning for life, no free will. The only reason people still believes in such things as ethics, morals and free will, is that people have not yet grasped the full implications of Darwinism.

How do Muslims view Jesus? I don't know a lot about Islam, but I do know that He is mentioned in the Qur'an. Do you view Him as a prophet? Here is where I am going with this. If you believe in Jesus as a real person, then how could He be a prophet when He claimed to be the Son of God and God in the flesh? It is either that Jesus was who He claimed to be or He was a maniac in need of attention. So, to Muslims that believe in Jesus, how do you view Him and what do you believe His purpose was?

What happens if you die and your God is like...
"you were brainwashed. Why didnt you just follow your heart rather than the word others ? Why did you have to be lead led like sheep to nowhere rather than just coming to me on your own ?"

Im just saying what if? .. You know since no one can say for SURE exactly what their God might say and all .

Thats my fear . Im afraid to have people tell me how to believe and end up finding out that it was wrong . arent you ?
