the bible says that the world was created in seven days and the earth is just a few thousand years old. then how did the million years old dinosaur fossils get there? the bible also says that the only god is the christian god. how do u know that your religion is real ? why can't other religion be real insteaad of yours? just because you have been taught that doesn't mean that it is true

The fossils were originally known to be old due to how deep and old(relative to other layers) the rock strata they were found in were, but they had no idea their exact age.
Since then we have discovered radiometric dating (not just carbon dating, that's only reliable for a few ten thousands of years). Uranium-lead and potassium-argon work very well.
We also know the universe if very old as light from extremely distant stars has had enough time to reach us.

The days in Genesis are clearly just general time frames, like a day being a unit of completeness. They could have been a really long time.
Scripturally, a day to god is like 1000 years... and some prophecies are known by that time frame in their use of "day". But obviously the Genesis account uses the term more loosely as being a completed time period like a day.
So, was it thousands, perhaps millions of years... could be.
The silly, hard headed, never admit you are clearly and obviously mistaken "christians" do a real dis-service to honest hearted ones who might look at the scriptures. By their insisting on the clearly wrong 24 hour 'day' scenario, they turn off thinking people to the scriptures.
Also, their insistence that the earth is ~ 6000 year old is idiotic. Genesis beginning with 'in the beginning'. That certainly could have been millions of years ago.
PS: Christmas is a Pagan holiday! :-)

So let me ask you, how can a scientist prove that the earth is a million years old. Was somebody around then to document it, NO, carbon dating has been proven to be wrong many times. When something is in the ground time and pressure and the things around it determine what is looks like. There is no way to determine if something is a million years old, especially when God spoke everything into existance in its prime. When God made Adam He made him in His prime, adam was no kid, neither was Eve, they weren't children, neither were the animals, they were old enough to mate and start producing offspring to populate the earth, When God made say an Oak Tree, He didn't make a small one, He made a big one producing acorns to feed animals and make other oak trees, this is one of things that throws scientists off. Not everyone who is Christian and believes in the bible takes every bible story literally.
How does anyone know their religion is real? Faith. There are certain things that can't be proven to a point where everyone will believe.
What makes it true for everyone is their faith and belief that it is right. Being taught something doesn't make it so but it doesn't make it untrue either.
You believe whatever you wish. I will continue to believe as I do. Which of us is "right"? Maybe both. Maybe not.

I have researched all world religions. The logical one to me is Biblical.
How do you know that those fossils are millions of years old?
Just because you were taught that, doesnt mean it is true...

The devil has put all kinds of bones, fossils, and other archaeological "evidence" to trick and fool man. Don't go for the bait! Soon, bones of demon-children will be found expelling any disbelief that the supernatural exists.
