He had FAITH that his Father would raise him from the dead. The big deal about Jesus dying for our sins is that HE did do it. Jesus was born with freewill. I'm glad he did it for us!!!!

I'm really not sure of your question? Are you asking what was the big deal that Jesus died? Since he knew he would rise again in 3 days? If so have you seen the Passion of Christ the Movie? Did you see how they did GOD'S son JESUS. GOD could have stop that at anytime, but he allowed his SON to die and a horrible death for OUR SINS. Would you have let your only son die for the world sins? They tortured him. Could you see your ONLY SON hanging from a cross? Instead of asking questions like this you should take your time and THANK GOD. Because of his SONS death you can be saved again. After someone have committed murder they can be forgiven if they have faith and believe. After someone sleeps with someone that they are not married to they can be forgiven if they have faith and believe. No sin is heaver or more then the other PEOPLE we can be forgiven. Get to know GOD feel his presents have a close relationship with him. You will no longer long for answers to questions like this but will be able to answer them. PRAY
Merry Christmas
GOD BLESS

No big deal at all. "A thousand years is as a day" for God (Peter) so the entire life of Jesus was just twenty minutes. No big deal for God. And he got his "son" back so he's not out anything at all, no sweat, no sacrifice on his part, nothin'.
Had Jesus NOT died, ever at all, it would be a miracle, and a genuine sacrifice for God to lose his only son to permanent incarnation. In not dying, he truly would conquer death.
Of everyting in the Bible, the whole Jesus died for your sins thing is the most ridiculous line of reasoning. And, a close reading of the crucifixion scene, with an understanding of chemistry and physiology, and how to administer an alkaloid neurotoxin, shows that Jesus didn't even die on the cross.

Christians tend to answer this with a focus on what a wonderful thing it was he did, getting all your sins forgiven, but they ignore the actual question itself. This is a frequently asked question, and something that Christians have difficulty in answering, because they can't even understand why someone would even ask this question. It makes no sense to me either.
How does getting beat up badly (I am not diminishing the pain) have anything to do with the sins of people not yet born? Where is the connection?
Anyone would gladly suffer as Christ did if they knew that eternal sunshine and happiness awaited them.

I wasn't just the fact that he died its how and why he died. Think about it he was a man accused of a crime that he didn't commit and was beaten near death then hung on a cross for the sins of everyone. The bible says there is no greater love then one who would lie down there life for a friend. Jesus counts us all friend and even though he was raised from the dead the fact that he died is what saves us. He was the perfect sacrifice for the sins of murderers and rapists and liar you me and everyone.

It is in fact blasphemy to place Jesus in the middle. Listen to the words of the Lord your God (assuming there is one). I need no middle man for your belief and faith in me. I am open to your DIRECT approach. Placing anyone before me is sinful...therefore believing that Jesus was anything more or less than you are is sinful and in particular saying I can only be reached via him is sinful.
Scripture doesn't support Jesus as Messiah (savior) as he fails on 85% of the criteria laid out in the OT. Additionally, scripture bears out that the Jews were chosen for two things...the readily known being they'll ascend to Heaven first to keep the gates at the "end of days". The less known being chosen as living, breathing, on going penance for the sins of humanity. Given the continuous persecution and hatred of Jews it's pretty clear that suffering is just the Jewish way of life. PEACE & Happy Holidays!

Jesus was a human being, like as we are. His suffering on the cross included bearing the feelings of guilt of all of the sin of mankind for all of history past, present, and future. He suffered what you suffer when you do something that disturbs your conscience, that suffering he suffered, even though he had never done anything wrong in his life.
Calvary, where Jesus bled and died for your sin and for mine is the focal point of time and history.

brother Jesus had to die, because it was the penalty for anyone committing sin "the soul that sins shall surely die" man was never meant to die but to live forever in a perfect form of flesh in Gods presence, read the adam and eve's account in Genesis. Not only do we die but will be judged and sent to the lake of fire in Revelation. Jesus gave us a way out, he suffered the penalty for our sin and our judgement. His ressurrection proved that all He taught and all the previous prophesies about Him were true. that we could believe in Him and accept the gift and have reconciliation with Him and the Father and receive eternal life. Jesus said "in my Fathers house are many mansions......i go to prepare a place for you....so that where i am you may also be"amen Read the Gospel of John for this account!

Jesus, the 2nd person of the trinity of God, created man and gave the law with consequences. Man broke the God's law. Death was the consequence. ( Eternal separation from God).God still wanted to forgive man. The only way was a perfect sacrifice. God took on the limits of humanity and lived 33 years without breaking His laws. He then took abuse by His own creation and finally died a sinless death. He was the perfect sacrifice that allows us to escape judgment. A good analogy: You subject yourself to ants and die so they can live. Why? Ants are irritants if they invade my living space. Why would I subject my self to them and die for them? Even if I know I 'll rise from death why would I suffer for irritants?
Why did Jesus suffer and die for our salvation? Love that no man can rationalize. This my friend is the big deal.

Hebrews 9:12-14
12Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Without the shedding of the blood of Jesus, there would never have been forgivness of sin.
