Of course I do. Jesus is personal with everyone.

If he was personal, he would be just my Jesus and I would not share him with anyone. That would be selfish and Jesus wouldn't like that. Jesus is many things to many people. To some he is a dead Jewish man. To some he is prophet of God. To some he is God. You are never going to make religion into a science that will allow you to convert people to your way of thinking. Look at how many Christian denominations are out there, each one thinks the other is wrong and many think the others are going to hell. You cannot put a check on faith. It can and will believe anything! I am glad we do not live in a country that can force anyone to go to the State Church! You would all be so unhappy.

That is a good way to pose the question. Most people just ask if you know him, but that could mean different things to different people, and some of those who say "yes" might not actually be saved. Many people seem to think that going to church saves you. Some think that being a good person saves you, but now we are digging through the muck

Yes, I've gotten personal with Jesus.

I have a very personal Jesus!

The lack of a real and personal relationship with Jesus is the core of endless problems in the Christian community. I am so glad to see someone bringing this up!

Sort of. For many years, I've taken comfort in the fact that a certain constellation -- Orion -- looks down over me like a protector for much of the year. In some of my darkest hours, I have gazed up into the nighttime sky with tear-filled eyes to see him there with his big armored plate and strong club, shielding me. Even during the seasons when Orion's not visible to me, I know that he's there, and that I can count on him absolutely to return again.

No...I don't...I believe we all have a bit of the collective consciousness of humanity...some folks say that little bit is God (assuming there is one)...Others say it's all nonsense...As I needn't do more than exercise good judgment and treat others and the environment respectfully...I needn't worry much about "Jesus" or anyone having to forgive me for my actions or lack there of. Happy Holidays!
