Are you an atheist? What is your belief that you're shoving?
All I have as far as theism is concerned is a lack of. And it's kinda hard to push that. Life is way too short to care what someone else believes.

Generalizations.
I am a Christian, but I do not force my beliefs on others. If asked, I share, but I imagine it is obvious I'm Christian from the way I live my life. Frankly, I've found some atheists to be just as judgemental as some Christians (or Muslims, or Jews, etc.) to be.
At the very least, Christians are called to share the Word. Now, this doesn't mean they should shove it down someone's throat. We should be respectful of others opinions and beliefs.

I don't really think any religious group, including Atheists, shove their opinions and beliefs upon people that aren't in situations where both parties are actively discussing their view points.
For example, I've never bought a coffee and had someone randomly start interjecting their religious view points on me. Of course, you would be ignorant to expect people not to interject in religious environments such as at church, religious forums or discussion boards, etc.
You seem to have a distorted view on religious discrimination and its commonness in real life situations. In reality you receive by far more scrutiny and hazing on what type of music you like and the political party you associate with.

Hold up, atheists don't generally shove beliefs on Christians just because they do. Atheists only speak of logically counter arguments. Let's not make atheism look bad here.

that is a few forms of Christianity (Fundie/fanatic varieties) and that is a few Christians. besides the undeniable fact that it actual isn't ALL. The "good information" isn't offensive considering i don't think that's the way it fairly works. that is offensive whilst somebody tries to apply that as justification to break others. that is offensive whilst somebody thinks because of the fact they quote the bible that makes them "gods spokesperson". that is offensive to work out a number of those human beings molest infants of their church and then conceal it up or justify it in some way - Catholic priests at the instant are not often the only ones who try this. some church homes interior the IFB do it too.... FLDS have been shown they do it besides. yet they pull out the bible and say "God says....." in simple terms like people who attempt to apply the Bible as a lawbook against non's. that's what's offensive. of direction, not all Christians do those issues, so that is not that each and one and all Christians are offensive... yet there is basically sufficient that are that makes something of the religion look offensive.

I don't mind athiests 'shoving their beliefs' as you say. I think it's good to know what different people believe and don't believe and the reasons that they don't believe in God, just as long as they are fair and respect my beliefs in doing so. I'm not saying that all athiests shove their beliefs on people, plenty don't, just as plenty of Christians don't shove their beliefs on people. I think people should ask more questions about other peoples beliefs even if they don't believe it themselves, if we all understood each others beliefs there would be less conflict.

...1. What beliefs do atheists have?
...2. This sounds like a generation of babies - nobody can be adult enough to disagree agreeably - how about let's grow up!
...3. I accept that many things exist, but I do not and will not celebrate anything that is against the Word of God. And when all is said and done, and this earth and its works are burned up, and we stand before God (Romans 14:12 says, "Each of us shall give account of himself to God") our God will reward us for being faithful to Him and for trusting in Him.
...Sorry to say, but atheists have nothing to live for at all. What reason do you have to be kind, to love others, etc.
...All you have to do to go to Hell is nothing; or you could play it smart and find out if there is anything to Jesus Christ and His claims.
...What is your purpose for living?

....and dr schmitty said unto the gathered masses "get up from your knees and use your heads, for all religion is lies and superstitious nonsense...you should all be way way smarter than to buy into this personal god crap, and if you arent you should not advertise such gullibility to thy neighbor"
p.s. fireball- many of the believers claim that atheism is a religion because its allegedly based on "faith that there is no god", then go on to say that christianity isnt a religion, but rather a personal relationship with god. and its "atheist"

looking at the history of humanity, we see the constant forceful imposition of christianity on the human race... that is how they got to be so powerful .... and as our laws evolved to protect us from christian violence people began to explore other options to the christian religion.... science was a break through in understanding our world as it is without religious and god interpretations... that is why christians keep their minds on political issues... making laws against truth or truth seeking.... they use to murder us to shut us up.. now they just take over our governments... with lies always using slander, deceit self righteous condemnation.... yesterday the christians sought to censor information, by bombarding radio and television stations... by threatening advertizers... even yahoo is christian slanted... the constant threat to free speech is obvious.... today they are working to have evolution taken out of schools... they constantly interfere with our lives... it's gone far beyond shoving their religions down our individual throats... we must stand up and defend our societies from their forceful interferance ot keep us ignorant of the world around us....

I'm sorry that this behavior is so widespread by Christians. We are supposed to love everyone an humble ourselves at all times, but we are so imperfect sometimes. It is we who are supposed to avoid attacking in the face of adversity, to treat our enemies like friends, and yet we don't and then expect others to treat us as we want to be treated. I'm sad about this. For now all I can offer is my assurance that there are those of us within working on this problem. But we fail too sometimes. You have my empathy and apology.
