I thought the first day of Eid is supposedy the 20th of December but I just heard that, because of the moon, it might actually be next Wednesday, is this true? I need to know cause I am supposed to go home on the 19th so I can be there to pray Eid prayer with my family the first day, I don't want this to be the first Eid I pray by myself...its just not the same you know?

In the islamic calendar, the day of Eid is on 10 Zulhijjah 1428H. For us in Singapore it is on the 20th of December which is a Thursday. I checked again and it is on the 20th. U will be praying with your family InsyAllah. You can use the website below to convert the islamic dates to the normal gregorian date.

EID begains the day after Ramadan. On the 29th or 30th. one believe that you must see the moon before you start.
Check with Clerics to be sure it was seen. But thats just me!

Haj of First House of God (Kaaba) in Mecca, Saudi Arabia will be performed on December 18, 2007

Eidul Azha will be on December 19, 2007

my dad told me it actually starts on the 19th.
i also checked on google, and saudi arabia is saying it's the 19th.
my dad said we can miss school, so that we can go to the prayer.
i hope you get to go to the prayer with your family!!!
hopefully, we'll be heading to houston(knock on wood) sometime after the prayer!!!
