Most of my neighbors in all the different neighborhoods I lived in throughout my lifetime were okay in my book. A few were bungholes and others were petty criminals. But did I love them? I should say not! My love is reserved for certain of my family and friends. I do, however, practice kindness and compassion to those who are unloved by me. You can ask my loved familty and friends if you don't believe me.
Oh, you mentioned Jesus' "teachings." I must admit that moral lessons can be had even from fictional characters.

No the one guy creeps me out. he is always eyeballing anyone in my family. Would I save him from a mugger yes, do I love him? Ah I don't think the world is at that place yet. Now can I say would I like to love all my neighbors and back at me yes, but for it to be true and happen is easier said than done.
