Ok all my life i was told that you do not put anything on a bible (Example: lay another book on top)
If this is so then would it be wrong to put flowers on top of the bible like Gwen Stefani did at her wedding? (The flowers were glued to it so is that wrong?)

Forgiveness and absolution are supposedly the building blocks of Christianity, I thought God was supposed to let anybody into heaven. Then suddenly, when the subjects were mis-behaving, some ruler decided to bring in eternal damnation for all those who sin (everybody virtually then). Is the idea of hell not completely against everything Christians stand for?

God expelled Lucifer from heaven because he wanted to be God and Lucifer became Satan. Does this mean that God forbidded Lucifer to go back?

And when the angels came to see God, Satan went with them. I have a bunch of questions with this chapter:

1. Why does he want to go to heaven in the first place? why does he want to see god? If someone's too proud of themselves they wouldn't go back to the place where they got rejected. So this scene doesn't make sense.
2. Isn't it nonsense that Evil can enter heaven? Satan went with the angels to see god. Isn't heaven the place where only holy angels and holy men can enter?

Now, God asked Satan: "Have u seen John, the most righteous, blameless man on earth? Don't lay a hand on him". This one arises many more questions that i can't get over with:

3. Why did God talk to Satan? He was not supposed to be in heaven, he was expelled, and now he's in heaven talking to God. It doesn't make any sense.

It is crystal clear here, as St. Paul wrote to the Galatians:
“I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it. And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.” -Galatians 1:11-17

St. Paul was Saul of Tarsus, zealously persecuting Christians. (Acts 7:58-8:3)
Jesus appeared to him on the road to Damascus. (Acts 9)
“Immediately”, St. Paul went and preached the Gospel. (Acts 9:20)

And as he himself testified in the Galatians verse above:
He preached a Gospel that was not according to man.
He did not receive it from man.
He was not taught it by man.
He did not confer with man.
He was not commissioned by man.

That is the Gospel was not according to, received from, taught by, or commission by the Catholic Church, a Pope, or St. Peter!

Jesus Christ revealed Himself to St. Paul; Jesus Christ commissioned St. Paul; Jesus Christ was St. Paul’s Leader and “Pope”, NOT St. Peter!

This is what St. Paul said about St. Peter being “Pope”:
“But from those who seemed to be something – whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God shows personal favoritism to no man – for those who seemed to be something added nothing to me.” -Galatians 2:6

St. Paul says that the so-called “Pope” St. Peter added “nothing” to him and made “no difference”. He also stated that God shows personal favoritism to “no man” – not even St. Peter!

So, Catholics: What about St. Paul? And what about all his letters that make up the New Testament?

If St. Paul didn’t claim St. Peter as his leader and “Pope”, then how could St. Paul be called a Catholic?
If St. Peter wasn’t St. Paul’s “Pope”, then to what human leader was St. Paul subject to?
Isn’t he disrespectful of your chief Pope, St. Peter?
Should you excommunicate St. Paul?
Should you tear out half of your New Testament – the 13-14 books/epistles that he wrote and burn them?

Or instead, is our only leader Jesus Christ – who revealed Himself to and commissioned St. Paul, just as He reveals Himself to and commissions His disciples today?

I know women are supposed to wear dresses according to the Bible but I find it's kind of awkward sometimes while riding a bicycle and its been kind of nice outside lately and I wanted to ride in the park. My husband says that girls bikes don't have the crossbar like guys bikes do so women can wear dresses but sometimes I still think it would be easier if women could wear pants. My husband said I really could wear pants if I thought it was okay. Do you think God would mind? Thanks for helping!!

I think I almost saw stars when last I thunked my head against my desk in response to some "logic" shown here in R&S.

Christians, I'm sorry to say that it was from one of you. But feel free to answer this too. (And everyone else.) I know plenty of atheists commit logical fallacies too.

(And does anyone have an asprin?)

I am studying with JW right now and I am confused right now, cause I am not sure that is what I want to believe. I love Christmas, that is my favorite time of year and JW's don't celebrate that holiday. And I don't know if I am ready to give that up. I Love the people that I am studying with. Don't get me wrong. They are beautiful people. But I am not sure, I am confused. I do read the Bible and I believe in the Bible, it is a true Book and I know it don't lie, but I just don't know what I want. God Bless.

In the December edition of "Focus" the great scientist Arhur C Clarke (at 90) is asked, "What's the greatest threat faces humanity?" He replies, "Organised religion polluting our minds as it pretends to deliver morality and spiritual salvation. It's spreading the most malevolent mind virus of all. I hope our race can one day outgrow this primitive notion."
I agree. Do you?

I have a very hard time with this, since it wasn't that long ago that I became a born-again Christian...I remember what it was like to be approached by a Christian, and just thought they were critical and hypocritical.

I just want to know if there are ways to talk to people, and reach out to them so that they can really, truly see Christ in me, and I can help save them!

It means no eyes, right?

NWT Revelation 1:7 Look! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, and those who pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief because of him. Yes, Amen.

in your own translation, how can this verse be interpreted any other way? It says that even those who killed him will see him again... kinda sounds like "every eye" to me.
