"Blood Diamonds" versus Story of Exodus (spoiler)?

When Danny Archer dies at the end of the film, I flashed on Moses dying before he reached his "Promised Land," and immediately saw several other parallels. Did anyone else pick up on that, or am I projecting?

saw it and I think that is pretty far fetched as far as Moses is concerned- of course I am a damn Atheist and I could be totally wrong!

Never saw it, thanks. Seen 'Basic Instinct' or 'American Beauty'? How about 'Enchanted'? I was thinking of that or some other movie tonight.
