Yes I wash my hands before every meal. I do my own version of prayer. Does it really matter if you pray before you eat?

Praying - Only when I've been invited to a Rabbi's house to celebrate the start of the Sabbath...

Washing - every time.

I eat usually with knife and fork so I don't wash my hands unless they are dirty. Praying is for people who think there's someone or something listening.

i don't always wash my hands, but sometimes i do pause a second before i eat just to remember how thankful i am
