Religion is a great tool to control the masses. Prior to the Bible being formed Ireneus called many people "Evil Interpreters." History of religion is extremely fascinating, although most religious don't want to know anything about it. Check out the Emperor Constantine who formed the Bible in the 4th Century and what pagan rituals he added to it so that people under his rule would accept it. Saturday is the Jewish Sabbath for remembering freedom from slavery in Egypt. Sunday is the pagans day to worship the God of Light. There are lots of book out there: Robert Funk, Elaine Pagals, "How Jesus Became God."

I believe your answer lies in the New versus Old testament and God's followers. The Bible, as you know, wasn't written by God. In fact, he never wrote anything. However, thru the Holy Spirit normal men were possessed with the word of God and wrote the Bible. In the New Testament the Gentiles (you and me) are said to be the new Jews. This was the great secret that was revealed. Gentiles were brought into the house of God. Jesus died for ALL men and all men are part of his church. I do believe there is only one true church and that is the Church of God. May God Bless you.

He was and is the Messiah. At first, Christians did start out as a Jewish sect, but the Jewish leaders started throwing them out of the synagogues and having them killed. Read the book of Acts, it explains exactly how the church got started.

I agree. There is so many problems with all the confusion. No one can deny Jesus was a Jew. God created him to be a Jew. The Non- Jews are worshiping a Jew. No one can argue that he was and is.

I have no problem with a Jewish Messiah. Better than following a gentile pope who is fallible, by the way.

Well as far as I can understand, Jewish people don't believe in Christ as part of their religion. But doesn't "Jewish" refer also to an ethnicity and not just a religion?

Why do Americans eat Irish potatoes? "oh my gosh! They're Irish! We can't eat anything not American!! We should not ever eat them!!!" Now you tell me, does that sound right to you? I don't think Americans can go without their french fries...
But to the point, Jesus was God. Not just a person. God is non-denominational. No, not every christian is Jewish. Does that mean they aren't allowed to talk to the God they love?
No, he accepts everyone who is willing to turn their life to Him...even the Irish potatoes.

We pray to the Father, with Christ as our advocate. And we worship and believe in Christ, a Jew, because He brought us salvation.
