I think his teachings were good; as much as they've survived. But I don't think he saw himself as God or would be happy about most of the people who claim to follow him nowadays.

He claimed to be God several times in the Gospel of John.
When He said before Abraham was I AM do you think the religious Jews present picked up stones to stone him because He claimed to be older than Abraham? Last I checked being demented is not a sin punishable by death. However blaspheming God by saying you are God, well I think you get the point.
By what evidence was he found guilty and drug before the Romans for execution? Not by any two witnesses that agreed per the law but by His own mouth where he claimed that after this they would see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of God and the accusation. He makes himself equal with God and therefore claims Godhood.
Oh Yahshua definatly claimed he was God. You just are mistaken on what the original Yahshua was like because you have swallowed hook, line and sinker the stuff shoveled into you mind from the Sunday go to meeting crowd.
As far as Paul goes. Again you misunderstand Paul because you misunderstood Yahshua and you misunderstand the Tanuch because you do not investigate the scriptures yourself but walk lockstep with whatever teacher has taught you the dribble you spouting
With all that said Yes I prefer the Original Yahshua over Jesus 2.0 because the Original Yahshua in no way resembles the Jesus 2.0 that most "Christian" ministers preach.

I agree, I have said many times that Saul dumped the Christ myth onto an actual Jesus after his death.
