Many people claim here to "have a guardian angel" or that "Jesus saves" or that "god has helped me" and so on...

Whatever occurs with God in regions like Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Darfur? Most of those starving kids are Christian...

OK, I grant you that god only helps some people sometimes, but with these poor starving kids, don't you think your god has made too many exceptions?

What do these kids need to do so that your god sends them some manna or fish, heck, some wine?

Here I present one of the contradictions. If my question is getting popularity, I will extend this question. Thank you. Please refer to your Bible.

Please refer to John 1 : 18,
"No man hath seen God at any time: the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him."

Then, please read Genesis 18 : 1,
"And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door of the day."

Please refer to Genesis 32 : 30,
"And Jacob called the name of the place Pe-ni'el: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved."

Please observe! One line stated that only Jesus who can see the God, the Father. While in another line, it has been clearly stated that Abraham had seen the God. te jacob also could see the God; in fact, they met face by face. If one of those lines is true, so the other two are definitely false.

The question is, can the holy book be defended as holy?

I'm 18 years old. Huge regret, guilt, loneliness, and many bad memories throughout the years that are going to follow me to my deathbed are causing a major depression.

I'm planning to get psychologist along with right prescription (if need be). What else can I do?

I've never read the Bible before or considered Christianity. Only been to churches few times. Recently I've decided to get into Christianity and at least read the Bible. Would that be a good idea?

I feel bad about being so lonely in communication that I have to use Yahoo Answers. It was the result of years and years of internet and game addiction. Best idea to stop it as much as possible?

I feel very bad. My life goal is now to keep a stable career/job/school progress and stick close to my family.

they dont [want to] have anything to do with santa - even though santa was derived from Saint Nicholas who was a devout christian and gave anonymously to those in need.

however they dont mind practicing the pagan traditions of putting up a tree, giving presents, hanging holly/mistletoe and what not.

Basically Jesus spent a lot of time telling people that their traditions were the lies of Satan and that as religous hypocrites they were going to Hell. I have noticed that that does not go over too well on here.

Matt 23:14-15
14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
(KJV)

Matt 23:27-28
27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
(KJV)

Many Christians seem to think these men were into "extermination of the weak", and cite them as inspiration for Adolph Hitler. Were they lied to or are they just having a "winning streak" of poor reading comprehension?

What can we do to show the world that fashion world is a world of the devil teaching and asking our children to behave in animal ways such as getting our daughters to dress as a sex machine to be beautiful. Wearing pants to show the shape of your butt and **** is called beautiful and wearing decent clothes are considered old fashion and ugly, boring... the designers only care about how they can get to your money and get you to follow their trends, they don’t care about you? is it just the Muslims who understands this? Why doesn’t other religions they don’t take this matter serious? We can’t we all stand up to what is appropriate?

Ok I am a 29 year old expat who has moved to Romania with my family for work. Since I was already here and not needing to work I decided to volunteer with 2 local groups. I am beyond shocked. What is wrong with the people! I have yet to meet more than a handful that I respect. Most of the are big-headed, egotistical, controlling and rude. I have not seen any Christ-like traits in hardly any of them infact I see even more clearly why people tend to hate Christians. I need advice because I truly have a passion for this work but these people are beyond words. How can I best deal with thse horrible people without openly declaring war?
