If I had a job researching things that fall down, would I have to accept gravity as a fact?

As a practising vegetarian and deli worker, could I refuse to cut meat?

It strikes me that if your job requires utilizing evolutionary theory, you should be required to believe in it. Seems obvious to me. Your thoughts?

I have heard: Because all decisions are based on previous input arguments.

I want a real one that actually works with the definitions of the words "Will" and "Free"?

Thanks.

... and had a headstone with a giant cross on it... That would be the deceased person's right to have a big cross on the grave, and I don't think anyone would deny that.

But then, let's say that someone died and their plot was right beside your loved ones grave. What if that person was a devout Wiccan and they chose to have a big pentacle on their grave?

Would you have a problem with a pagan symbol being displayed on a grave right next to your christian wife, mother, father, grandmother, whatever's?

Matthew 1:19 says:

"Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly."

Why did he have it in his mind to divorce her? Did he think that she had been fooling around with another man?

I was wondering where in the Bible is the Christmas Story or the story of Jesus birth. I am wanting to read it to my children this year so that they will know why we celebrate Christmas. Any help would be great.

God could have let us be born in wonderful bliss in heaven. There, we would have the choice to defy him and join Satan and his cronies, or we could worship him forever and ever amen.

Instead...

He set it up so that the sins of Adam & Eve curse all of humanity. Now people suffer, starve, die, get murdered, and toil all day every day. People get confused about which god is THE god, and many people honestly (and understandably) don't believe any gods exist.

Seems like God really screwed up - what's the deal?

According to christianity, god lets bad things happen (children starving to death, etc) because he wants to teach us a lesson not to use our "free will" freely. So what if we all decided to worship bible god? If everyone on earth started stroking his ego like he wanted, would he stop all the suffering? Or is that not part of "his plan"?

2007 has been a really tough year for me. Alot has happened and i have been fallen to the ground alot. I haven't felt like commiting sucide more then any time apart from this year. When i mean alot, many stuff has happened to me this year and just recently when i thought i was getting back on my feet, something happened and its just brought me back down. I don't know if this will keep carrying on through 2008 but i know 2007 has been a real struggle for me. Im lonely, depressed, finding it hard to deal with college work at the same time with everything going on. Im quite religious and tired of my life. is there anyway i can get god to listen to my prayers and for me to get closer to him?

Children are starving around the world because God gave us free will. This is the explanation I am seeing from Believers.

So why are these children so steadfast in their disobedience? Do they all need a big timeout? A spanking? Why are they so determined to CHOOSE starvation?

Last week, I ordered a 20-piece nugget at McDonald's and when I left, I counted and found out I only got 19 so they shorted me a chicken nugget!!! I went back in there and caused a rampage, compliments of Stone Cold and The Rock.

I stomped a mudhole in the clerk and gave him a
"Stone Cold Stunner", I beat the crap out of the rest of the employees, including the 2 managers on shift and finishing them all off with the "Rock Bottom" and the "People's Elbow", and then last but not least, I gave the guy in grill who shorted me that chicken nugget a mudhole stomping like I did to the clerk and then I kicked him in the gut and gave him a good old "Stone Cold Stunner", and then I had a beer bash and poured beer on his face.

When I came back days later, they deeply apologized to me and told they learned their lesson and gave me a free
20-piece nugget and a large coke and told me they're sorry and they'll ALWAYS get my order right from now on..
