If you believe in another god, you may mock those who believe in Prince Philip, but how can you be sure you are right and they are wrong? They doubtless believe just as fervently as you.

Some questions about the bible?
and please don't tell me to read it, I am working on that.
1. Was Mary alive when Jesus died on the cross
2. How old was Jesus when he died on the cross
3. Is there a different bible for other religions besides christian, ie. muslim (does their bible say something different)
4. do you think it was hard for God to send us the gift of his only child knowing how he was going to be tortured and die for our sins, I mean if you knew you had to let your baby go to save the world could you do it.

If you believe it does not then why do you persist with negative thoughts? For if yours are positive then you know the purpose even if you are unaware of it. The proof is in your actions.
If you believe it does exist then what powers it?
If you know what it is can you tell me from where it came?
If you can tell me that then can you please tell me how you came to know it? Only the truth please. :-)

Don't panic at the shock headline, read on:

In Revelation 22:16 Jesus descibes Himself as the bright and moring star: "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star."

However, at the same time in Roman astronomy, Lucifer (name meaning Light Bearer from the Latin: lucem ferre), was the name given to the morning star otherwise known as Venus . It was and still is described as the bright and morning star, as was Jesus.

As symbolism was the main tool of impact at that time, my question is this, have we mis-interpreted the role of Lucifer?

so if all sins are created equal then how much time should we spend in jail/hell for any sin if they are all equal? because he says they are even? should we get the death penalty or probation? or a slap on the wrist? [remember JESUS says they are all equal sins in his eyes],.

When I meditate long enough, my body starts to feel very light...it's a weird feeling and causes me to laugh! I am aware that I am laughing but I don't think about it too much cause I don't want to "awake" from the meditative state. At the same time, it's weird that I'm laughing for seemingly no reason.

Perhaps I will simply build more discipline over time. But still, I wonder if anyone has heard of someone laughing during meditation. And do you have any tips?

I read a question posted that asked why homosexuality is wrong, requesting that religious reasons be omitted as homosexuality is a social issue and not a religious one.

I saw some of answers that pertained to the dangers of anal sex, but this is not synonymous with homosexuality, nor is it even exclusively homosexual in nature.

So I would like to ask the question myself: without resorting to religious reasons, why is homosexuality wrong?

And I would like to clarify that homosexuality is NOT: homosexual sex, anal sex, oral sex, bestiality, rape of any kind, nor any other kind of sexual activity.

Homosexuality IS: an instinctual, undeniable personal attraction to human members of the same sex as oneself.

I always jokingly say, "if people are against it, they have something to hide". I don't really think its any of my business, but others I know have a pretty strong opinion about it. Why do you think it is wrong?

For me, religion is a form of social control, so when it comes to these issues, I don't turn to religion, so please leave religion out of your answer.

This is true and happened very recently to a friend...

A man was travelling on the London Underground. At one station he fell down a flight of stairs. He had 2 broken ribs from his fall. He had blood running down his face.

NO ONE HELPED HIM. Not one person reached out and helped him up, no one called for help from staff or first aid services.

I am a Christian and am stuggling to believe this but I know it's true! Even when I used to call myself an atheist I would have helped someone who fell down a flight of stairs.....

Why didn't anyone help?! Would you have helped or would you have walked on by!?
