women, like the men, can choose to serve a mission

EDIT: men go at 19 or anytime after - women go at 21 or anytime after.

The big myth...women in the LDS faith stay home and are pregnant all the time..actually most of them now a days work for a living.

Yes they can go on missions at age 21 for 18 months.

If they want they can when they are 21. I didn;t want to. We dont just stay home and make babies, not that there is anything wrong with that. I finished college before getting married and started my career. I am 28 with baby #2 on the way and I work part time. Not much different than my non-LDS friends.

*Oh and for Mesquite, we have no issue with birth control. It's the Catholics who dont believe in using birth control. I use birth control pills to prevent pregnancy when we arent trying. Dont post information when you dont know what you are talking about.

they can go on a mission if they want to, but generally they get married and stay at home and make babies instead. If they don't get married right away they can go on a mission when they're 21 (the age for men is 19)

Yes. I served Jan 1991 to July 1992 in the Arkansas Little Rock Mission. I went to Jacksonville Arkansas, Southaven Mississippi, Jonesboro Arkansas, and Memphis Tennessee. I went door to door and loved every second of it (well, not every second, but I did enjoy it a great deal). I am a working mom right now, because my husband is too sick to work, so he takes care of our little monster. I wish I could stay with him all the time, because I miss so much, but that is probably what a lot of working dads think as well.

Of course they do. When they reach the age of 21, they have the option to go, or not to go on a mission.

Yes they do, if they choose to.

My Wife serve a full mission, got married with wonderful me,
and we have four wonderful kids.
(Only 4, that is not too many is it?)

She can choose to work when ever she wants, but she loves being a homemaker.

Absolutely. Many women serve as missionaries and they are usually more effective than the elders. Sorry guys, speaking from my own mission experience... :-)
