I lost interest in A.I. a long time ago...my uncle did some work in that area and it made him sort of crazy after a while. I wouldn't tangle with A.I., and I'd have no interest in coming up with a new religion because I dislike religion in all forms. I also dislike "Star Trek" so it would definitely not be my scene.
I'd like to see atheists socialize with each other more, though - it would be nice if we could be a little more united simply so we'd have the experience of spending time with like-minded people, but trying to get us to do that has been compared to "herding cats".

I am an evangelical agnostic, i openly preach doubt. I hate organized religion and i think it is the biggest scam ever. You forgot to mention how the crazy religious people have use the existance of their imaginary playmates to slaughter others who dont believe the same as them. I am agnostic because i believe that if there is a god, his message is much to complex for any human to ever understand, much less interpret. The bible is a fictional novel full of fairytales that attempt to explain how the world came to be. where there is religion, there is ignorance and that is extremely detrimental to society as a whole. I can only hope that the organized religions that follow the God described in the bible will all disappear with time, just as the Gods worshipped in ancient greece disapeared into what is now called greek MYTHOLOGY

Of course this is an oxymoronic question.
You're positiing the existence of 'wise atheists,' whereas the Scriptures tell us that "The fool hath said in his heart: 'There is no God'."

Wise atheists are altruistic, compassionate, patient, etc. Such are very logical choices.
