Does your religion forbid dance offs?

What if someone challenges you, should you walk away?

What about inter-faith dance offs?

felt like it was a worthy question for the big three in religion. Do you think that the recent effects of Atheism, attempting to take God out of everything, is a direct effect of technology and science and is humanities wake up call, or is it some religious sign of the times. This has got to end somewhere, right?

I am a Christian believer but felt inclined to open this question up for all. Thanks for the help.

if this is a holy book why are the folowing quotes (yes they are real) included in it. how is this allowed and how do muslims follow and worship this hate speak.

"Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war." Qur'an:9:5

"Fight those who do not believe until they all surrender, paying the protective tax in submission." Qur'an:9:29

"So fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world)." Qur'an:8:39

"Fight them and Allah will punish them by your hands, lay them low, and cover them with shame. He will help you over them." Qur'an:9:14

If you could meet any person of the Bible and eat lunch with them, who would it be and why? (any person other than Jesus)

In my opinion, there is a leap between what people do believe, and what they say they believe. I would say if someone believes in angels, if someone came up to them glowing and with wings, they would not believe it and would more likely think they were insane or having a trick played on them.

Satantic practices seem far from the actual worship of Satan. They focus most directly in giving in to one's self. Worshiping thyself. To me, they seem to be a;ot like athiests with a twist--a guideline of rules to live by. I hope I'm not putting my foot in my mouth--correct me if any of this is wrong, please.

My question is though:

aside from the name 'Satanism' why is the misconception so great that they actually even believe in a Satan, much less worship one? Is it misinformation perhaps?

The reason for that is Newton was a Christian and Einstein was a jew. And 99% of all scientists ever been are Christians.

I don't have statistics to back up my claims but I have 'faith'.

Now we learn from the Bible that the Rapture will be May 21th 2011 AD.
Five month's* after, the Ultimate Terror: Judgment Day Oktober 21th 2011 AD
* And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. (Revelation 9:5)

The Bible is a Book that is absolutely true and trustworthy. It is the centerpiece, the keystone of this study.

Muslims calling for an execution is down right EVIL.

Is it Religious faith or just plain Hatred? Over a Teddy bear being named Mohamhed, they want to Murder someone?

We read in God's Holy Law-Book the Bible in Isaiah 42:5-9 Thus saith God JAHWEH, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: I JAHWEH have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am JAHWEH: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

I meditate daily as spiritual practice along with daily yoga. It has brought much joy to my life. I have a 3 year old that loves to practice yoga with me, but my wife draws the line with the meditation aspect saying its too early. I feel one compiments the other, but for the sake of household peace, I respect her position. I look forward to the public responce on this issue.

Isn't the reason for the season really the phat lewt and the scrilla?

Sure, Jesus is cool and all, it's nice of him to let us all celebrate his birthday with him. And it's cool that the Pagans allow us to partake in some of their practices, too. But regardless of the "why" we celebrate, I think we can all agree on one thing.

As a kid, when Christmas was exciting, and the world seemed innocent, wasn't it really about the booty (piratey version, not derriere) under the tree?

Best wishes to you all this holiday season, may you score big in the present payload!

“Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you." (Genesis 3:16)

“Adam was formed first, then Eve.” (1 Timothy 2:13)

“Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says. And if they want to learn something, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is shameful for women to speak in church.”( Corinthians 14:34-35)

“Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.” (1 Timothy 2:11-12)

Evidently, god does not think very highly of women. Is god misogynistic? Or is it more likely that Yahweh is simply the reification of ancient patriarchal prejudice?

If you are a Christian woman, do you think this is fair?

How come atheists enjoy gingerbread cookies and sugarplums at Christmas when they don’t believe in Jesus? Isn’t this hypocritical.
