I have met Jesus and the next most fascinating person would be to meet the Apostle Paul. I believe he is just like he said, one born out of season, as an apostle. I think he understood Jesus better than those men who walked with Jesus in the flesh and I would like to ask him to clarify some things that translators have stuggled with and the factual statements and their intents. I have more questions probably than a "lunch" would satisfy, but that would be marvelous for me. IF I could have a 2nd choice, it would be Mary Magdalene, just to get her personal testimony.
Thanks for the question and opportunity to think about it.

It might sound odd, but I would choose Mary Magdalene. Why? I think that it is admirable that someone in her position and facing the problems she did, found God through Jesus, and began to turn away from her sins and walk in the light. Considering the time frame, I imagine she had to deal with poverty among other things- and her profession may have sustained her while it provided for a host of other sins, which may have been difficult to turn away from. After meeting Jesus, she recognized light in the depths of darkness, something which we all may be able to relate too. She is one of the many examples of people who show us how ordinary can become extrodianary simply though hope, love and the grace of God.

I'd choose the Apostle Paul. He wrote a large part of the New Testament. He voiced strongly limited views on the role of women in the body of believers. I would like to ask him to explain them to me so I could see what he really meant and if he really thought negatively about women.

He wrote so much wonderful wisdom and theology in the Bible; his seemingly negative views on women have caused me to doubt him and cast a shadow on his validity as a teacher/apostle.

I did discover that in the Jewish faith of Biblical times, women were segregated from the men and not taught except at home. Therefore many women did not engage in religious learning and gossiped away the services time. His strictness with them may have been a response to their noisy, distractions in the local synagogue/temple.

David or Paul. David always knew that God was going to watch over him and protect him. And Paul was an intellectual which is what I've been told that I am. I just consider myself a person knows way too many trivial things.

The apostle Paul, because he is inspiring to me. He struggled with a lot of things that we struggle with today as Christians.

John the Baptist!! I'd love to know if Jesus usurped John's power and thwarted his message.
