Wow how much ignorance can be in one place the Scottish Rite was founded in France in 1762 where there were only 25 Degrees more degrees were added later to bring it up to 32. A 33rd was added for those who bring credit to the Rite.
All you good christians should know how old Jesus was when he died.
As far as was Jesus a Freemason he may have been we started as a builders guild and Jesus was a builder. But realistically we will never know.

Believe it or not there are those who strongly believe that Jesus was, or is linked to the Freemasons.
There is even a DVD, "Was Jesus a Freemason?" by Keith King of New South Wales, Australia. It is a documentary about 30mins long which uses masonic symbology, which is also found in the bible and christianity (there isn't a single symbol in Freemasonry that Chritianity doesn't use as well for all those want to spout "symbols of the devil"). i.e. St Thomas is alwasy depicted with a try-square, or John the Baptist, teacher of JC and Patron Saint of Freemasonry the list is quite long although some are very far fetched.
In truth people will find links where ever they want, if Jesus Christ was a Freemason, or even linkable to Freemasonry do you not think it would be a promotional tool to use, or even something to silence all the Christian fundamentalists who wish to slander Freemasonry?
No one truly knows when Freemasonry began, all we know for a fact is that it became organised in the early 1700's as a specualitve fraternity as apposed to the operative guilds before it.
Freemasonry does not claim JC as a member, or try to link to it which in short should enable anyone to draw the educated, logical and lets be honest only conclusion that as far as anyone can prove, NO he wasn't a Freemason.

Crowley claimed the following Masonic degrees: 33° of the Scottish Rite in Mexico from Don Jesus Medina. 3° In France by the Anglo-Saxon Lodge No. 343, a Lodge chartered in 1899 by the Grande Loge de France, a body unrecognised by the United Grand Lodge of England, on 29 June 1904. 33° of the irregular 'Cerneau' Scottish Rite from John Yarker 90°/95° of the Rite of Memphis/Misraim from John Yarker. The United Grand Lodge of England, whose recognition is generally considered the standard for Masonic validity, did not recognize any of the above bodies as being true Freemasonry, thus Crowley never was an “official” Freemason within the common understanding of the term. I think the dude just claimed to be Freemason for the lulz, really.

Way too many uneducated words here. Some of you people like Flower make me ashamed that I am a Catholic. Others make me ashamed to be in the same human race.
Freemasonry IS NOT a cult.
Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor. (Rememebr that one people).
Do not criticize what you know nothing about.

Let's think about this for just a couple of seconds. . . .
Freemasons founded around the 1400's,
Jesus lived roughly in the time period of 6BC to 34 AD.
I know he's God, but he didn't abuse his power to go through time and join something that he truly wouldn't support anyway.

If so Jo smith would have said in his KJV bible that jesus took the disiples into the temple and showed them new temple endowmments and that they were sacred and made them put on temple garments, but it does not ay this, and then old Jo smith says that the mormons have to do it anyways.

I doubt it. A majority of Churches, have condemned Freemasonry as incompatible with Christianity: Anglican Church; Roman Catholic Church; German Bishops; English Methodist Church; Free Presbyterian Church Scotland; Reformed Presbyterian Church, Ireland; Orthodox Presbyterian Church of America; Greek Orthodox Church; Dutch Reformed Church (Cape).
