(1) It is due to "Unity in Diversity"---Can any one name any other World Religion except Sanaathana Dharmam and its related Religions(Buddhism,Jainism,Sikh religion) which gives its devotees "Freedom" in Abundance"---it is why Democracy sustains for 60 years in Predominantly Hindu Bharat, sorrounded by "Dictators".Hindu religion says "Brahmam is ONE and Only One" but the devotees are at Liberty to call the the nameless ,formless Brahmam by any name.form,as per their own perception and understanding.

(2) The "Tolerance"---Hindus not only tolerate but respect all non-Hindu Religions while Hindus are persecuted in sorrounding countries(All forms of Islam-Shia, Sunny. Lebbhai, Ahmedia,Bahai)--All forms of Christianity-Roman catholic. Protestant, Pente coaste,Syrian christians and other religions like Paarsis,Jewish religion etc),go-exist peacefully, whereas in sorrounding countries they persecute their own Religious factions. Even"Atheists"(Naastikas)like Kapila Muni,Eeswara Krishna,Vigjnaana Bikshu,Jaapali have been respected and revered by Hindus and their views have been heard with respect.

One can go on enumerate ,but I stop here.

sanatan Dharma prevailed during the so called Sat-Yug, centuries before. The world changes and so changed the dharma and to-day we don't have even a glimpse of it.
It was a dharma of the time when people were satified, having higher moral values, cautious about life and duty, having power with passion, and so on....
The sanatan dharma centred around nature. Agni(fire), jal (water), vayu(air), aakash(space) and pruthvi(earth) were worshipped since they sustain life. There were no gods since people were themselves almost godly.
With above forelogue, the real strength was, it was capable of taking people to highest levels of spirituality. The minds were already pure and the mantras chanted were powerful enough to create magic but in the larger interest of the people and society. You would not have heard that in sanatan dharma, people chanted mantras to become rich, to have a house and the like.
People lived in harmony with nature and a little effort with the power of mantras, they were able to create amazing things.
In short, the real strength is purity of mind of the people and power of mantras towards larger interest of the society.

Sir, religion is different from Dharma. Dharma can not be changed - as fire's Dharma is to radiate light and heat. If we change the Dharma the fire, it will not be called fire. Whereas religion (belief system) can be changed as and when required.

Sanatana means "eternal" and Dharma means "true nature". So Satatna Dharma means "Eternal True Nature".

Sanatana Dharma is based upon generic principles, which are based upon truth and universal.

Sanatana Dharma is an ancient religion and only non-prophetic religion in the World. It doesn't depends upon one person and a single doctrine. Sanatana Dharma is monotheistic (belief in the existence of one deity, or in the oneness of God) and pantheistic (everything is of an all-encompassing immanent abstract God; or that the Universe, or nature, and God are equivalent) religion but misunderstood as polytheistic (multiple deities together with associated mythology and rituals).

Beginners are free to choose their path (Bhakti/devotion, Jyan/wisdom, action/Karma etc.), as per their dominating tendencies.

Note : Hinduism is not Sanatana Dharma.

It's the ultimate true path for spirituality. Unlike other religions of the world, which are founded by some human beings, it's the religion of gods.

Thats why there is no founder for Sanathana Dharma. All other religions are founded based on the situation and practices of that time period and It all based on sanathana dharma. So all religions have their roots in sanathana dharma.

So ultimately, It's the greatest strength of Sanathana Dharma.

It does not claim to be the only way,the best way or even a better way. That makes it the most enlightened religion and that is the reason why intelligent and genuine spiritual seekers gravitate to Sanathan Dharma

The holy names. God is His name and when one takes shelter of the Holy names they get the full protection of God. Sanatan dharma is eternal and can not be destroyed. Never. It is always available to anyone who seeks out the Absolute truth and Surrenders to God also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, Rama, etc.

An in-built faith culture which runs through each and every activity of the individual, with no overt compulsion and with no show of aversion to different view-points. A sense of tolerance and a stead fast faith in the basic tenants of the religion. This religion has evolved on its own and not propped with an external form institution.

beyond the rituals and practices when one looks for the real meaning of vedas and upanishads one would find the strength, the real strength of hinduism.

i haven't read much but whatever little i read in a translation was sufficient to convince me.

the first shloka i read sounded like infinity minus infinity equals infinity. and somewhere down the line i read " man needs many things to enjoy his life but if he doesn't have money or youth then every thing else is wasted". none of these sounded like what the religious misinterpretations shout from the roof tops.

the strength of hinduism is in itself.
