Why is it that Christians can't seem to fathom that Arabs of all different faiths use the word Allah for God? Instead they have come up with lies like Allah is really a moon...or is it sun god? And why is it that you can accept that the jews don't use the word God ?

the science of genetics proved that it was not acquired physical traits but only genes that were transmitted to subsequent generations this discovery made it clear that a scenario suggesting that acquired traits accumulated from generation to generation and generated different living species was implausible.in other words there were no inheritable variations for Darwin's purposed mechanism of natural selection to choose from.Is this not correct?

if there was only one god who created everything why are there so many other gods? if there is only one god then he should only have one name, there should only be one bible and there should only be one way to worship him. but its not like that,so who is the "real" god and why are people surprised that others think that man created god instead of the other around under these circumstances?

Why? God is real. People now believe in science more than God. We don't need proof. Science can't prove that God doesn't really exist cuz NO ONE could ever tell stories like what the words that came our of Jesus' mouth. And if God was made up, how were we made? who was the first people on earth? Please answer my question. thanks

I'm in a theater group and this church was letting us use their space. I'm on tech, which for this play means I flip the lights twice, so I was wandering around reading some of the stuff they had posted up.

There was this sign about stockpiling food. It said that many people think it's a hopeless task, but if they just start with one week at a time, they can build up to a 'reasonable goal.'

Why do Mormons need to stockpile food?

I have some vague idea about the Second Coming and wandering around to find the Garden of Eden, but I'm probably wrong.

Also, what's visting-teaching? Or something like that, I don't really remember what it was. Less curious about that, it was just another sign I didn't understand.

All I want is an explanation. I have a Book of Mormon and have read some of it, but I'm not interested in converting. Likewise, saying 'Mormons are crazy' is really not helpful.

Thanks.

I recommend you use headphones if you're going to watch this. Particularly if you're at work or using a church computer or something.

Mr Reb doesn't like atheists very much, I'm thinking...

when you read it do you read like a chapter or two a day? or do you read like the whole book of John and then take several months off?

Anyway, I was wondering because I haven't read mine in a long time and I wonder does it really help to read it over and over? I used to read it alot about 3 years ago and before that....but have really slacked off of it for about 3 yrs.

My question is this; What will you say when you stand before God, and He asks you why you're like you are? If you're not a believer, just do your best. Please.
Believers will say something to the effect of "I'm a disciple of Christ."
I am just curious what unbelievers will say. I know you don't believe, but can you pretend, and give some thought to it, and give an answer?

If sin is equal in god's eyes then do you (honestly) feel ok about god viewing you in the same way as a child molester that has asked for forgiveness?

I respect all faiths equally. But don't you agree it's absurd for a Christian to state, as I have just read in a previous post, that we Jews 'WILL BELIEVE!' in Jesus....?

I know not all Christians hold this attitude, but quite a few seem to. Isn't it insulting to be told that we are going to totally reject our own religion, Judaism, and embrace Jesus as messiah when our faith has an entirely different belief???

I really don't think the person who said this would like it if I insisted that one day he would embrace a totally different belief!

If Eve was created as a help mate for Adam.... how does this translate to modern times? Women are suppose to help their husbands, have jobs and pay 1/2 the bills, cook, clean, have babies and raise them, pick up after him, tell him he's great, all this stuff....but why are men so crappy to women? Why are they so self absorbed? why did God make them that way? Are they born with giant egos? Why do they feel the need to crush you with their horribly mean mouths? And if you say not all men are like that why have I dated so many of them and all my friends too?

...when Christ died on the Cross He dealt with Sin, Satan, the Flesh, the Old creation.. and the list goes on.

I want to focus on this matter of the flesh. Even though it has been terminated by Christ's all inclusive death, day by day as believers we still have to deal with the flesh.
One brother said something. He said that as believers, each time we in our flesh, it means that we are not in spirit. Those two are the choices to each believer daily. We are either according to the flesh or the spirit. No inbetween.
But he went on to share that when we are in the flesh, loosing our temper, lusting, lying, etc, it shows us where we are and in a way, being there is so full of " death" that it has a way of forcing us to turn to our spirit.
Romans 8:6 shares
For the mind set on the flesh is death but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace.
How do you see this matter of the flesh and its function to make us more desperate to turn to our spirit and live from there instead.
