"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, ....false accusers,....fierce,despisers of them that are good,....traitors, ,....lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God,.......ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of Truth".( II Tim. 3:1-7)

To say things are worse now than in the past is probably not true. But we deffinetly are more aware of all the bad that happens in the world because of the media. Best example is vietnam. Most people didn't have a problem with war till then. People do not really live their lives thinking they are doing bad things to someone else, they justify what they do to themselves. No one has a clear view of themselves. We lie to our friends, our families, our co-workers, but mostly we just lie to ourselves. The world might of been terribly worse in the past, but now I feel it is past redemption because we do not take responsibility for the evil we do right at home, to ourselves and to the ones we love.

That's exactly right. There isn't MORE going on right now, it's just that we KNOW more about what's going on right now. Even just 100 years ago, even people living on the east coast of the U.S. wouldn't have known about the wildfires in CA unless someone they know lived there and wrote to them about it. They wouldn't have known about an earthquake in China at ALL, or a Tsunami in Asia. These things have ALWAYS been going on.
Other things, like disease, is actually less than it was even 100 years ago. 400 years ago half the population of Europe was wiped out by a plague.

We are certainly seeing the things Jesus predicted for the end times. If you look back over history you will find that although we have always suffered from natural disasters, famines, wars etc. these things are on the increase which is what Jesus said would happen.
So I think it's best to be prepared because none of us know when it will be.

Society has always had troubles, but those troubles are of different types in different times. In some areas violent crimes are dropping, but the media plays up the "spectacular" ones like school shootings.

"Troubles like these?"
What do you mean?
Commodity shortages have existed as long as commodities have. The division between the haves and have-nots have been worse, but not since slavery have them been so bad in US history.
Earthquakes, Tsunami and volcanos are less than statistics would expect, wildfires are spot on, if in an unusual set of locations, and the American South is an arid climate, with cities larger than they have water for.

We are at the END OF THE AGE of ESAU, the AGE of JACOB is about to begin after Messiah returns to bring to full fruition the kingdom on earth. He is coming to be given the THRONE OF DAVID, which still exsists and is here now on earth. I hope you know where.

The human condition is eternal -- it's always been like this, and every generation has claimed that these are the end times and the world is going to hell in a handbasket. Even in Socrates' day, we have written records of people complaining about the crazy music and clothes that their teenagers loved...

If you are a serious Christian and know that the end times are nigh, please send me a money order for the full ammount of your savings account. You won't be needing it, and giving to others is the Christian thing to do...
Otherwise, you aren't a "real" Chirstian because you have doubt in your heart rather than faith. :-P So there.
