im looking for Christian based abortion clinics in long beach ca.I'm 12 weeks pregnant and need to fix the problem fast,Do they do abortions at 12 weeks? how many weeks is abortion legal? and are there any Christian based abortion clinics? a regular abortion clinic seems too sad I'd rather see the cross our lord died on maybe here some church music in the background with a reverend in the waiting room or holding my hand.

None of the other candidate's religions are an issue why is this? I understand the LDS church is different, but I don't think anything they practice is offensive, or strange. It is a FACT that Mormons do not practice pologamy.

Now I'm not asking if you like him or not- I don't care. I'm not even voting for him, I just want to know why its such a big deal. It's a free country right? I feel like if it was any other religion that was being persectuted it would be unacceptable.

Go to this link about pologamy and what the church said about it: http://www.lds.org/ldsnewsroom/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=2588eb644ad72110VgnVCM100000176f620aRCRD&vgnextchannel=3e0511154963d010VgnVCM1000004e94610aRCRD

Also- if you give me reasons please use facts, and not rumors that you have heard about this church. I'm just curious know what the big deal is and what everyone thinks. Thanks!

Would that work, and if not why not?

Because when I first became a non-believer at around 13 I did exactly that. It didn't work.

Now I know there is no God, but back then I wasn't so sure.

I'm Jewish, but one of my favorite Christian books is James. In one of the passages it talks about those who brag about their intent to do something good "tomorrow."

Is there a time when the intent to do something gains the same spiritual merit as actually doing it?

I know this may sound crazy, but we are on the verge getting evicted by our crazy landlord. Mind you, we have never missed a rent payment--he just seems like he's out to get us. I went on a public record search in the county in which we live and he has all of these actions filed against other tenants in the past. We have little kids and I'm afraid we're gonna be on the street soon. We have hired an attorney, but I really think we need positive prayer to get us through this situtation. Thank you to all who took the time to read this.

Do you choose wisely or for your own selfish reasons? Do you consider all answers and carefully screen them until you understand who's behind them? What they are offering before you reject them? Are you certain that you rejected the WRONG answers to what you asked or just maybe you chose mistakenly? Think about it the next time that you are asked to choose.

"It is an agenda that they basically set in the late 1980s, in a book called 'After the Ball', where they laid out a six-point plan for how they could transform the beliefs of ordinary Americans with regard to homosexual behavior — in a decade-long time frame.... They admit it privately, but they will not say that publicly. In their private publications, homosexual activists make it very clear that there is an agenda. The six-point agenda that they laid out in 1989 was explicit: Talk about gays and gayness as loudly and as often as possible... Portray gays as victims, not as aggressive challengers... Give homosexual protectors a just cause... Make gays look good... Make the victimizers look bad... Get funds from corporate America"

Isn't what she's describing basically a PR campaign? What's wrong with this?

what does that say about their sensitivity to their hardships? I was seriously appalled at those derogatory remarks and went off on them but the scariest part was that people jumped right on the bandwagon (as they will do now) and agreed! and then gave me thumbs down b/c I refused to lower my standards with agreement.

Unless of course Jehovah wanted his flock led by the mentally challenged

- by false predictions (eg. Iraq war will end in 2006)
- by taking money from their, often, poor followers to live a rich, pompous extravagant lifestyle.

Do you believe in televangelism?

2007-11-07 02:52:21 · 40 answers · asked by Tom S 7

When non-believers like me question Christians about why it is that God allows so much suffering, Christians often state that it is because God gave man freewill. Therefore, man can choose to follow God and do what is right, which leads to heaven, or he can choose evil, which leads to damnation. I believe that the freewill argument is insufficient in explaining the suffering of innocent people. For example, suppose that a man is considering whether or not to break into a house, kidnap a little girl, and rape her. At that point, an all-knowing God would know this man’s thoughts. Therefore, when the man makes the decision in his mind that he is going to go through with the act, an all-knowing God would know it. When the man drives to the house and begins breaking in, the man has used his freewill to begin what will be a horrible act. Why could God, at that point, not turn the man into a pillar of salt, cause him to die instantly, or at least cause him to change his mind? This would not affect the man’s freewill. He would have already used his freewill to begin the act. Any answers to this other than “God works in mysterious ways” or “God has a greater plan?” These are the 3 Great Christian cop-out arguments.
