The charges:-

Attempted murder, Cruelty.

Evidence, Confession by Abraham that he took his son up a mountain, tied him up and prepared to sacrifice him by burning him alive. and was only prevented from carrying out the act by an angel.

Mitigation, Abraham says that he wanted to prove his faith in God and that Isaac was strong enough to have resisted if he had wanted to.

Counter mitigation, Why would a loving God put a father and sons love to such a cruel test and why would Isaaac need to be tied up at all if he was a willing sacrifice.

Possible verdict?

1. Mad as a hatter, institutionalise him for life
2. Guilty of Attempted murder and extreme cruelty
3. Not guilty, a role model to be followed by fathers from then to the present day

What is your verdict?

And do we charge the one he says put him up to it with incitement to murder, extreme cruelty and being one sick God even madder than poor old Abe?

I've heard that Buddhist don't get high blood pressure. Or ulcers. There is very little stress related disorder in their society.

What's the secret? I'd like to know, too.

I know how it works by re-program my positive thoughts by reading positive affirmations

As soon as u get started, u begin 2 build momentum. Once u build momentum, u find yourself taking one step after another in e direction of yr goal.

If u persist long enough (whether a few minutes, or a few years if it is a big goal), u’ll eventually reach e end destination: e attainment of e goal.

And do you think that we (the people) should create a new church?

All academics say the same thing: To be in acadamia means to split hairs, to test and retest. Books are constantly being updated, old facts are replaced by newer ones, and peer review keeps information structured. In the past 100 years we have seen everything we used to think about the world go out the window, which is a good thing.

But in all reality, do you honestly believe you will find an answer to the creation of the universe? Do you think man has the forsight to explain how everything was formed and why? Now, I am a firm believer of knowledge and seeking the truth. In fact, the Lord wants us to. That is why I can honestly say to myself that this answer will NEVER be found.

It is beyond all logic and understanding. Something of that magnitude can only be explained by something we will never truly understand. As seekers of truth, that undeniable fact must be accepted. Do you agree? Logically speaking, it can not be done.

This is just too cute - I just HAD to share this with you all. I'd hate to think I'm the only one benefiting from "Chosen by Grace's" exalted wisdom.

I don't even have space to paste his whole screed, but suffice it to say he called me "d***sucker," "f***face," "retarded," a "loser," "dumbf***" - then finished off with this -

"Learn English and stop being a gullible opinion-bashing dupe. Your hate smells really bad.

Take God's advice dummy:

Like one who seizes a dog by the ears is a passer-by who meddles in a quarrel not his own. - Proverbs 26:17

Don't answer questions not meant for you dumb d***, it's called bashing, and no one likes a basher, especially not from spiritually sick contentious scum like you."

LOL. Yeah, I should really take God's advice, huh. Cuz nobody likes a basher! And you smell that hate? Yeah, that's me. Sorry!

The sad thing is this guy actually thinks he's on "God's side." I hope Jesus appreciates irony!

the Holy Bible (KJV, etc.) & what is written in there or else they would put you in jail; Would you end up in jail, guilty as charged?

Because maybe your Holy Bible was highlighted & open with no dust on it, & they saw other evidence like you praying with others in faith, in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God?

Or would you go by the rules of the land?

I'm sure this has been asked before, but if humans and monkeys evolved from a common ancestor (an idea with which I do not agree, but am willing to accept that other people believe), then what is your opinion on how humans developed souls/spirits and the capacity for human traits such as speech and philosophical reasoning?
